Evil Empire or Russia Consecrated?

I don't think there will be a Warning. What's the point of the Gospel and evangelizing if we can just count on "the Warning" to correct everyone's consciences? The Church and Sacramentss are fully capable of acheiving everything "the Warning" is supposed to achieve. Garabandal could be the ultimate satanic deception (even moreso than Medjugorje) meant to keep us diverted and complacent in our spiritual lives. We also have to contend with the failed prophecy involving Joey Lomangino which many here simply brush off or rationalize.

While I don't believe that there will be a Warning, I do think that Saint Faustina approved private revelation of the lights in the heavens being extinguished and a cross of light appearing, is an event that may soon come to pass.

'those that lived through that time were blessed with the fruits of that peace'.

You really undermine your argument Richard with absurd claims.

Sometimes I wonder if you post with your tongue firmly in your cheek.

If not I think you are blinded by your own personal interpretation of history.

But carry on with your mantra if it makes you happy but as for us we think of you as the one who 'cries peace where there is no peace'.

A reminder from Kevin Symonds site of what Sister Lucia said in the video clip referred to earlier:

“The Holy Father has granted the consecration. It is done. He did it in such a way that we all would be able to recognize it. Because he fulfilled the conditions that were missing. Russia’s consecration had been practically done since Pius XII. Pius XII had done the consecration of the world, and in that consecration we can already notice that he had had the intention of consecrating Russia when he said ‘those peoples who most need this consecration.’* He** said: ‘Russia will spread its errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church, many will be martyrs, the peoples will be tormented, some nations will be destroyed. After all this, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me’. But she didn’t say how. ‘…will consecrate Russia to me, and Russia will be converted and there will be granted an era of peace.’ But this was Our Lady’s way to refer to the wars and persecutions and the mistakes that atheist communism was causing all throughout the world.”

A little further in the documentary, more footage of Sr. Lúcia was provided. In this footage, Sister spoke about the word “conversion” and what it means. I included this discussion after the above scene. The transcription is as follows (again from the provided English subtitles):

“The word ‘conversion’ shows a change. So a conversion is a change from evil to good. It doesn’t mean that all evil will disappear but there’s a conversion from evil to good. That’s what the word means.”

What were the "errors of Russia?" Answer: Bolshevism, which was largely a Jewish, Atheist ideology and one which hijacked Orthodox Russia in 1917.

Whatever about anything else, I think this is manifestly true. These errors, which had to be enforced in Russia by gun and gulag, have largely been voluntarily embraced by the West and in a more virulent form. This is the form of 'cultural marxism', which cleverly has apparently abandoned the expropriative nature of Bolshevik communism, but is even more virulently anti-life and anti-family. This cultural marxism rigidly follows the original concept of Karl Marx that the road to absolute state power is through the destruction of religion, particularly Christianity, and the elimination of the traditional family.

Personally, I suspect that the consecration of Russia by John Paul II was, in typical human style, only a partial success. It was sufficient to, almost overnight in historical context, topple the seemingly impregnable Soviet Union and its empire. However, although I consider President Putin a far less corrupt politician than the political establishments running the West, he certainly has many faults. Putin would be, to me, a common-garden tyrant, the kind that has been common throughout history. However, our Western leaders, and those pulling their strings, set the bar much lower; to the degree that this bar forms the head jamb of the Gates of Hell. In comparison to these fiends, Putin is almost a hero and I would far prefer the likes of him to be ruling the West. This would not imply an earthly paradise, this is unattainable, but it would not be an aspirant Hell on earth.

[Maybe I'm wrong, but is there a tendency among some to apprehend Russia's conversion as that of one from Orthodoxy to Rome?]

Regarding the sentence in bold, it would certainly apply to the peoples of Poland and Hungary, to name but a few.

Recall what happened after the fall of the Soviet Union. The West, particularly in the guise of the US, moved in vulture-like to exploit the resources of the collapsed economy of Russia, finding the alcoholic Yeltsin a willing dupe. With indecent haste, the military-industrial complex of the US sought and found a new enemy as grist for its mill. Hence, Saddam was appointed and soon there were wars all over the middle East. The hopes of peace were soon dashed. Still, there was a near-miraculous lack of bloodshed in the fall of the USSR, particularly in the case of Russia herself. As we know well in Ireland, this is rarely the case.

It seems to me, now, that this military-industrial complex has become dissatisfied with its new opponent. Wars against Islamists are hopeless to support calls for military expenditure on F-35's and the like. A mobile force using pick-ups with mounted machine-guns is what's needed for this kind of war. Useless for business. As a result, Russia has become the new enemy. It's Orwellian.

What Sister Lucia has stated also corresponds to what the Church authorities have said. Case closed.

It's Orwellian and is a fulfillment of Fatima in my mind. The trend has been clear for all to see since as early as 2001 when Bush unilaterally withdrew from the ABM Treaty: the West has squandered the Reagan-Gorbachev-JPII Peace Dividend that was made possible through the Consecration, and we have been inching closer to a Chastisement ever since. The current drama surrounding Trump and "the Russians" is only further proof this.

The notion of Putin as tyrant and "killer" is the product of Western think tanks and the State Department, not a notion that is based on an impartial study of the man's life. In most cases, those that accuse Putin of being a killer and tyrant are themselves guilty of that which they accuse Putin of; its a classic case of psychological projection and demonization. Catholics who keep an impartial eye know better though.

The better word to describe Putin is not tyrant but rather king or czar. There was a time when monarchs ruled Christendom by the way. And for most of Russia's history, she was ruled by Christian monarchs (or czars as they were called). Were all these monarchs tyrants simply by virtue of the fact that they held absolute authority? I think not. Freemason "democracy" is a relatively new political phenomenon and one that has always been alien to Russia's history. This is part of the reason why there is such conflict between the Freemason West and Orthodox Russia. It's also why Our Lady understood the strategic importance of Russia recovering her Christian roots in the wake of the 1917 Revolution. Russia was and is really the last remaining Christian monarchy on earth today. All the others have succomed to Freemason revolution, with perhaps Poland being an exception although Poland has certainly thrown her lot in with the West. Now, if only Poland and Russia could unite spiritually and politically, the Triumph might commence. I think this is something that JPII fervently prayed would happen one day.

My expectations are low. I don't expect saints for leaders. King David was far from one. However, I certainly don't want devils to govern me as seems to be mostly the case in the West, with the notable exception of Trump. Whether your view of Putin or mine is the most accurate, frankly I'd be happy with either. Far better this than hearing a man calling down God's blessing on the industrial slaughter of the innocents.

Well, Richard, we shall see about that Warning. Plenty of those around me think I'm wrong too. But everyday that passes we get closer to extinction, and that's why I do believe only a supernatural phenomena, as Our Lord's resurrection, can turn us around. Something must happen soon. The Freemason Third World War will wipe us out completely. I read Kissingers interview on just that, and his enthusiasm towards a world war was diabolical.

Are there mentions of a warning or 'illumination of conscience' within Church-approved prophecy?

There might, God willing, be a special case for it in our present time. No previous generation had to face such universal widespread confusion and wall-to-wall temptation and transgressive propaganda. Few previous generations have so lacked for apologias and cathechesis. Few have been so miseducated by such a misguided educational system. Few have been so badly led by so many defective institutions, including sadly, to some degree, our Church.

Generally, in the case of examinations, it was traditional to mark a harder paper a little easier!

I agree that the fall of communism was a miracle a bloodless collapse - amazing. I agree about Poland and Hungary

But our Lady's words states that 'a period of peace will be granted to the world'.

Not just a region but the world.

This statement can't be any clearer.

It is a lot easier to believe that Sister Lucia erred than to believe the hypothesis of Richard and David that we have had an era of peace.

In fact since it is private revelation this always remains a possibility.

If this is the case Sister Lucia was in error to proclaim the Fatima message that if Russia was consecrated then 'a period of peace will be granted to the world'.

No matter what semantics you use there has not been a period of peace in the world.

Tell that to the one million Rwandans killed in the genocide only a decade after John Paul II's consecration.

But then maybe Africa is not important to you Eurocentrics?

I would have a lot more respect for your position Richard if you stated that Sister Lucia got it wrong with the prophecy that 'a period of peace will be granted to the world'.

Our Lady to Sister Lucia and the seers of Fatima "I want you to come here on the 13th of next month, [August] to continue to pray the Rosary every day in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to obtain peace for the world'.

I have prayed the whole Rosary every day for the past 10 years without missing one day.

In honour of our Lady and for world peace.

I think Sister Lucia would be pleased with that.

The Church has always taught that private prophesy is conditional. I believe the consecration was not only imperfect, but very delayed. We certainly do not have peace in the world, but at least we avoided nuclear annihilation, once that we are aware of, and it is not unlikely there were other unpublicised near-misses. Additionally, the people of the world may not have done their bit as well as they should have. Your contribution can't be faltered, but I for one lack such diligence. We may not have succeeded anything like we should have, but is that really a surprise? Still, we haven't wiped out the human race yet, so maybe 'half a loaf is better than no bread'?
