From Galway Cathedral page: A reminder that today, Sunday 4 October, at 6.00pm, we will gather in Galway Cathedral for Holy Mass for the Solemn Enshrinement of the image of Our Lady of Győr, Consoler of the Afflicted, and the Blessing of the new Devotional Shrine. This special celebration recalls the historic bond between our Dioceses and the Diocese of Győr in Hungary, rooted in the story of Bishop Walter Lynch of Clonfert. Music will be led by the Galway Cathedral Choir and Loughrea Cathedral Choir, joined by a visiting choir from Hungary. Sunday 4 October 2026 6.00pm Galway Cathedral All are warmly welcome.
