Here in Maine too. Terrible. Apparently the vaccine has had little effect.

Criuses are like 'petri dish'. Heard it few years ago where a relative of mine got sick along with few others which they ended up in a foreign hospital. They got out all right but it tells you more about the health dangers in any cruise ships. Its like a ticking time bomb for any dangerous viruses to spread more faster than we think.

If this isn't the unleashing of chastisements then it is a darn good rehearsal. Locusts and floods and fires and hail. Earthquakes and volcanoes. Right out of the movie Thd Ten Commandments.

Sometimes people learn from the hard way so it could be a lifesaver. Sometimes not but not cruise ships or commercial airplane. I picked up a flu from a plane once cos its ventalition system going around. Anything thats packed or crammed with people like for example cruises or planes are no go areas in the time of volatile virus going around like now.

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Not only on cruise ships along with travel by airplane, but most offices are air conditioned these days. I am convinced those office buildings where many people work these days are a hotbed for the spread of airborne disease. There is no getting away from disease in our modern world, at least in older times there were more windows where you could open up and let a bit of fresh air in. Even hotel rooms have air conditioning and some with windows that cant be opened. Sigh.

Exactly. Which is why traveling by bus or plane or ship is not a great idea right now. In fairness to cruise ships I had taken several cruises prior to the Japan trip and had no problem at all. So who knows? But I'll never take another!

Exactly. Legionnaires disease originally came through the air conditioning. There is some suspicion about that happening on the Diamond Princess. I am all for open windows!

Now u mentioned hotels which I hadnt thought of in the 1st place.

Yes hotel windows locked *sigh* . Some hotel windows can be opened with few millimetres of air going in. It depends on what hotels and city.

You right re office building as there was one building I heard was govt dept office labelled as 'sick building' cos all windows closed and sealed thus staff high sick leave. Typically govt dept didn't do anything to fix that except they sold that building to an well known accounting firm. That firm changed everything from sealed windows also other things as well to 'well building' with less sick leave.

Amid Coronavirus, U.S. Cities Stretch to Monitor Self-Quarantined Americans

Local efforts to prevent potential spread of Covid-19 have been like ‘one big, long bad day’

Public-health officials in the U.S. are striving to keep tabs on thousands of Americans who have quarantined themselves at home after returning from mainland China to curtail the new coronavirus, adding to an epidemic response that is straining already-stretched local departments.

More than 5,400 people had been asked to self-quarantine in California alone as of Feb. 14, according to the California Department of Public Health. Hundreds more are self-quarantining in Georgia, Washington state, Illinois, New York and other states.

Padraig, Maybe what is occurring now in China in relation to this deadly strain of the corona virus is all part of the unveiling that many on MOG believe that has been going on for about 3 years now. Maybe those who still have their heads in the sand about China are supposed to wake up due to this. +

[Edited to add: I am referring to the lack of human rights in China; the surveillance of their people by the government, etc and now we hear of the way they are treating those who have been infected by this virus or those who have come in contact with someone effected by it; in addition to the lack of funerals etc in relation to those who have died as a result of the virus.

Prayers for the Chinese people and the situation there, it appears to be getting worse by the day.]

Raymond Arroyo spoke about China on the World Over once again this week.

Brian, I think that most of us have very, very little cash on hand and this is a good reminder to change that. If and when things get really bad cash may not have value for very long but I still believe that it is wise to have some cash on hand for that interim period of when there is a run on the banks but food etc is still available to be purchased with cash although not available to purchased with plastic (credit cards etc).
