20% of the people who get the virus require hospital treatment. If you let the virus have its head hospitals simply could not cope. You'd have mass deaths. I mean in the millions. But, not going to church, not celebrating Palm Sunday, was last Sunday, not celebrating Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday is, is different and hard. It is the same message right, whether you do it from home, whether you do it over a television, or through a computer screen, is the same message, and if anything, that message is more profound during this situation then, it normally is. But my father left me a really beautiful, leather bound copy of the , 'Imitation of Christ', which I love so much.!! I am an old crank now and I admit it. But whoever wrote the Imitation is a million times worse a crank than me. Tomas a Kempis (if it was Tomas who Wrote it) Reminds me of of the Book of Ecceliasticas. Who is described as a sour old sage.I read the Imitation on a regular basis before and after mass. After the Bible itself it is the best read spiritual book of all time. But totally cranky and written by a great crank. That's why I love it, being a crank myself. I just so totally disagree with so much I hear and see around me. Things that everyone else thinks is normal and right. Including Pope Francis and the Vatican. But well if I am on the same cranky road as the Imitation of Christ , I feel I am in good company. I just feel every time I read it I find myself nodding in agreement. Every time I read anything Pope Francis (lets have women Deacons) says I feel like chucking up. But then I'm a crank.
