I have been led to think we should not take our planned trip to Palm Springs this year but the idea that we could be kept from traveling back home is concerning. There are some constitutional issues with this as well. Interstate travel is a pretty big thing to put a stop to. Yes, the store shelves here are looking very picked over according to my wife and the lines are long. My brother went to the commissary today and said he had never seen anything like it. He said Christmas rush was nothing compared to today. He had to wait to even get a cart because they were all in use if you can imagine that. My mom said that in the town she lives in there are a lot of bare shelves and a lot of really freaked out people. She said she noticed people looking really off. My wife came home from work this morning (she has a break) and said people in the break room were talking about how the whole thing just didn't seem right and it reminded them of 9/11 when Senators started asking questions and all the sudden anthrax was mailed to them and they all shut up. I thought that was interesting.

Lynnfiat: Just wondering if anyone else has seen the absolute panic that we are seeing here in Knoxville, TN - no hand sanitizers, toilet paper and paper towels to be found. Many of the shelves are empty in several grocery stores. I just returned from Nashville Wednesday and there wasn’t seen the panic that we see here. My grandkids go to a Catholic school here and parents were told that after spring break (next week) they can expect to homeschool their children for possibly a month! Is anyone’s else experiencing this in your area?" You bet! In GR MI, people have been shopping like we're headed for a 1 month blizzard. Shelves are getting real sparse, beyond toilet paper. Sorry, that just make me laugh incredulous! Stores have had to put limits on t.p. Do ya have 10 people living with you for a month?!
NH is beyond nuts. Several stores have closed due to shortages. A couple of hospitals have people taking numbers and waiting in their vehicles while waiting to be seen to protect people who don't have the symptoms. The schools are closing, etc. Early this morning outside of Costco's there was a line of people waiting for it to open, literally wrapped around the building. On a good note, thankfully our churches have remained open.
