Wasn't Game of Thrones filmed in Northern Ireland? If so I expect the populace in NI are sitting ducks for this stuff! Many would watch it out of a sense of loyalty to their country.

I pretty much stopped watching TV or going to theater. Aside from scandalous scenes , most of the story lines are awful- just not entertaining. The only show I look forward to is The Chosen. And we also occasionally stream old musicals when they are available.

I never would watch it although everyone i know was addicted to it. We are in a terrible way, no doubt. Worse than the days of Noah.

I agree!! I tried watching it when it first came out. I tried watching. Hoping that it would get better. But no it didn’t. Very sad because I understand the over arching storyline is very good.

Me too miker. I don't go near current movies or novels unless they are thoroughly Catholic. I did watch Fr Stu. The message was very Christ centered but the bad language ruined it for me. The film makers--wahlberg and Gibson are tone deaf to allow it.

I watch old programs such as Poirot, Miss Marple series and lately Heartbeat. I also watch some country and Irish music programs. That's it. Things are really bad.

Game of Thrones is so horrible. My husband and I rented it at Family Video a few years ago to give it a try, having no idea... We turned it right back off not even halfway into the first episode. We don't even try to watch anything made in the last few years anymore. I have no idea what's been on TV or any non-Christian radio station for the last few years because we can't trust anything now--not just because we have little eyes and ears around, but because the stuff being fed to us adults is so toxic to our own souls. And now that we are so completely unused to modern entertainment, we are no longer desensitized to even the "milder" stuff that we used to watch with no qualms. Every time we try even an older movie, we're surprised to see the innuendos and inappropriate words and themes we never used to notice or be particularly bothered by. Even in kids' movies! They've been gradually desensitizing the population for decades, and bit by bit, they got ordinary people to be ok with watching constant nudity, sadism, and satanism. I don't know how much lower we can even go at this point.

I watch some sport, mainly hurling. After that, I just read. I wouldn't have a television in the house, if it was my choice.

I recently discovered just how bad HBO is. Our cable company had a free HBO week and I could not believe that people pay for this filth, everything was unwatchable.
We watch a lot of old shows, movies, and travel bloggers on You Tube. My parents really enjoy the old Lawrence Welk shows, lots of fun. :)

I had a dream a week ago about Fr Richard Heilman. He was delivering his homily about the evils of Hollywood and the programming of most shows being satanic. His congregation is quite traditional with Eucharistic Adoration, praying the rosary, holy family values, etc. Shortly after Father began his sermon, a man from the congregation got up and looked disapprovingly at Father and started to walk out. Father said, "Tom" but the man continued his exit from Church. Father was a little stunned but resumed his homily. Soon after the first man left, family after family began to follow suit. The next part of my dream was of Father Heilman back in his Rectory, standing in the foyer and just sobbing. He was inconsolable.

Pray for our priests and deacons. Speaking the truth will cost them dearly.

I couldn’t watch Games of Thrones either. Just awful. I watch the news, YouTube, read books and go back to the classic films. On Occasion I watch Hallmark, and trying to remember to join Pureflix. Sad how Hollywood lost its way.

I have found that if I type , 'Catholic Films into utube especially in the native language I get some really wonderful films , even with English subtitles .

For I stance try ,'Pelicula en Espanol '

The big Catholic countries have some wonderful content .

I notice some big Hollywood actors never get involved in filth

    Denzil Washington for instance.

    Jeffrey Epstein taught us much
