Thank you. still in hospital with chest tube. Also seeing eye ear nose specialist tomorrow— needs prayers. also I know we are to do sacrifices and penance and I am wondering if going to Adoration as often as I can - few times a week is a sacrifice. I feel called to pray in front of Jesus. Also is helping your grown family a sacrifice. I don’t mean materially.
I would ay a Sacrifice in this sense is to think of something you like the most and to give it up for a period, to offer it up to God. In my case, for instance it would be drinking my home made wine. A terrible costly Sacrifice. Or maybe the internet. Not for ever but for an offered period of time. maybe till you get good news? Whatever you are most fond of. Helping your grown family, I think, would be more along the lines of duty. Or you could fast instead or as well if you like. If you do, place this at the Feet of Mary, this will make it a hundred times better, more effective.
Continued prayers for his recovery RR. I think making time to go to Adoration is a spiritual sacrifice. Doing whatever ever you can to help your family is a sacrifice of love when you put other's needs above your own.
Thank you I always spend time in the morning praying and offering my day and praying for others . Then my house and husband then try walking or swimming in summer and adoration and helping my daughter some days. I also host Flame of Love once a month and try to attend weekly. Confession often also because it is so available.I’m slajck at daily mass
Of course it is a sacrifice. It is love unselfishly given. Dye your actions for your family in His Precious Blood and unite them to His torments on Calvary. To console His Sacred Heart and to win them great graces. (Our Lord told this to Sister Josepha in The Way of Divine Love) also you can unite your SIL's suffering to The Sacred Heart since your SIL does not know to offer it. "That Your Heart may be consoled and sinners may be saved."
Thank you so much! My daughter is exhausted. He may get home later. She’s been at hospital all along.I just picked up the youngest at school and took him to his home with sick stomach. Two grammas are involved here . Never rains but it pours and I have family coming for the next 2 weeks and trying to get ready.I’m not complaining Just need prayers. I am going to mass soon.
Praying, Rory. It will all work out with company coming. You do an enormous amount for others. God bless you. Praying for SIL.
T Hank you. He got home and they are exhausted. Hoping for no more sick stomach on the little guy and that the others don’t get it.
