Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, too, Kathy. Good advice. We have that on hand.:)

I agree with Katfalls on the chicken soup. If HH were living close by, I'd have kept her filled with a good amount of healthy soup because that's what I do with my own family.

I was about to suggest a ginger-infused soup but in her condition, it might be tough on HH to try and make a soup now. Then, I recalled reading a story years back, I cannot remember details, but it was about someone who had been brutally attacked and slipped into a coma. But when she came out of it some time later, she spoke of lying in a cave and being fed a soup made by a lady in blue. It was Our Lady and this person soon made a recovery.

So, although it might seem as if I'm nuts, I'm going to ask Our Lady to make Her special healing, saving soup for HH and for everyone here who needs it. May its physical and spiritual nourishment help you all.

Oh you are well prepared Beth. :) I am not a successful soup maker, but thankfully we have some speciality markets nearby that have good chicken soup.

Well Jo, I’m not especially a good cook, so I hope those I give it too are desperate enough …., or sick enough, to appreciate it rather than starve.:D

Thank you, Mary's Child, and everyone who prayed. Appendix removed. Looks like she will be released tomorrow so home for Christmas. Thanks be to God.

There's a nice shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes in the church where I went to Mass today. Brought everyone's intentions to the Lord at Mass and candles to Our Lady.

I heard here about the chicken soup recipe with ginger. That’s intriguing. My Greek father always put lemon in his chicken soup. I have canned chicken soup for tonight. You are a sweetie.

This may seem random but my 1 year old has 4 tiny splinters in the bottom of his foot and I've tried tweezers and a needle, also duct tape, and nothing has gotten them out. He cries and kicks so hard it's very difficult to try to get them out! I'm going to try a few online tricks I just learned but please pray they come out because this is getting distressing!

I'm continuing to pray for the healing of all here.

Do you have salt pork? Once as a child I thought an old wooden buckboard would make a good slide. Well I ended up with a backside full of splinters. Funny yes, but not at the time:eek: Anyways, they put salt pork all over my behind, taped it on somehow and the next morning the splinters were all in the salt pork! Ok, I'm leaving now, you can all have a good giggle:p

Wow! Haha! I'm about to try a hot water/cold water method, and if that fails I'll tape baking soda to his foot for 24 hours. It's supposed to draw splinters out like it sounds like salt pork does!

I’m sick too since 5 days scratchy - throat - runny nose - cough etc but rapid test showed no Covid. I’ve been praying for you all.
