I don't know, I wish they be true, except for the terrible event to happen in Jerusalem. But, it is part of the supposed, if locutions.org messages are true, the conversion of Judaism to the faith. Doesn't the revealed part of the 3rd Secret of Fatima sound like what Our Lord is describing here? The Pope is the bishop of Rome. Is it Pope Francis? This sounds similar to the fate of the antichrist or the beast of revelation as well though. I feel like there could be a great deception going on and possibly we have two popes. One good and Holy who is martyred as St. John Bosco saw and another false Pope who works for the evil one who is ultimately killed as well who in the deception the whole world will mourn. The true pope will be labeled as the antichrist and the leader Charles the Monarch will be labeled as the beast by the world and satan but this will be a great deception. It would not be hard for non christians and protestants to go along with this deception as well as many lukewarm Catholics. The true faithful will mourn but will have to do so privately and the true church and mass will go underground. I am just brainstorming here and going off of past things I have read over the years. Deception is very sneaky and clever and if the evil one as moved into or always been with this seer then I could see how they would be playing out this clever rouse. I am still discerning but move more and more each day away from these messages. Again what others have said, were is the call to prayer, penance, fasting, confession and the eurcharist in these messages??
Lets see...she speaks about Medjugorje, Poland,Ukraine, Putin, the U.S. and Obama, Portugal and 'taking the veil off of our eyes'---can't say these are false. I'd say they were spot on! I'd say these are truth. I hear Jesus' words ring true when he is speaking here. I hear our Lady. Prophesy is speaking the truth. Prophesy is also describing future events and the forces that shape them. THAT IS WHAT THE CATECHISM SAYS PROPHESY IS. So, she starts out EXACTLY saying what the definition of prophesy is. This is so true, it is all a waste of time, maybe an enjoyable waste of time..but still a waste of time if none of it makes us better more loving, more prayerful people. I did not know this but apparently at Medugorje Our Lady was going to stop coming right at the beginning because people were not converting. When I became 100% convinced they were false, I quit reading about them. Bored, I guess. Thank goodness the Church is there to rule for us . Anyone caught out following false messages only has themselves to blame if they are led astray. Is there any unapproved message which adds anything to what we already know? I also have read unapproved messages , and I do believe some of them , like Marienfried. But it affects me not if it is not true. If LTTW are from Heaven , and 28 people here vote and only 1 person thinks it is real, is that not clear it is from the Devil? or else Heaven is doing a poor job promoting? There are so many false messages in this age, appealing to all our different temperaments , Some promote tradition , some modernism , some even unity with heretics. If obedience is paramount on the forum ,why even consider the unapproved? In the end time will be shortend , or even the elect will fall. Not one of us can consider oneself above deception in these days. Wouldnt that be pride?
'Why even consider the unapproved?' because authentic messages from God change hearts. They lead to conversions. Medjugorje has brought countless numbers back to the faith, me included. And (with apologies to those who 'struggle' with Vassula) the 'True Life in God' messages have done the same.
Discerned by me. How do we discern whether messages are authentic or not? The best way is to look for conversions. In the case of Medjugorje, I didn't know much about the conversions. I just saw on the TV the children having an apparition and that was very convincing for me but to anyone who is unsure about whether messages are authentic or not, I would recommend they try to investigate the fruits.
Mac, what does 1 Thessalonians 5 19-21 mean to you? "Do not quench the Spirit, do not despise prophesying, but test everything; hold fast what is good". Seems you have a conflict with scripture itself in your hardline approach. This seems to indicate that unless prophesy is contrary to Church doctrine we should hold fast to what is good. That is what I will do.
But the Church hasnt ruled, and you are so concerned with church ruling and the Pope when it comes to anything else? Not here?
