Another magnificent Message

  1. This really puzzles me, that the language and sentence structure (and even grammatical error) may be taken as proof of the source of the content.
We don't even know if the locutionist is a man or a woman, and instructed person or a person practically without education, using maybe a second language, young or old, a person with disabilities or whatever. Just because nobody is "polishing" the messages grammatically it doesn't make them false, on the contrary, this might be taken also as a sign of authenticity, of not being manipulated.

To me this kind of "method" of discernment taken alone is out of proportion to what is implied from it.
There is no doubt that the medium colors and shapes the content, but that per se doesn't say, necessarily, anything about the source of the content. Especially when you don't have an "authentic sample" of how a true divine content would come across this individual medium/instrument that conveys the message.

But of course we have the precedent that Jesus was judged negatively by the learned of His time. He didn't meet the mark they had for a Messiah and they missed it. Well they missed God Himself!!

These locutions are not Scripture and of course we don't need to pay attention to them. But so far, the criticism as to their origin doesn't seem too solid to me. In any case, thanks for posting it as it gives us the chance to ponder the weight of someone else's opinion on a topic that is, certainly, controversial.

  2. Just a little something that came to me in prayer..

I felt the Holy Spirit saying that I needed to be open to being mugged by Him. At first I laughed at this concept but then He showed me that unless I was open to receiving the unexpected ways He reveals his actions and words I was putting him in a box and putting a resistance towards being blessed. Previous to this, whenever I prayed I expected Him to reveal Himself in a way I was familiar with.
Since that experience I have changed how I pray and have often been mugged!!:)

Why are these messages more about the spiritual advisor than the locutionist? Something is very wrong here.

  7. Rosebud, what do you mean that these messages are more about the spiritual advisor than the locutionist?
The messages are not about either of them at all.

You might want to browse or read at least a little bit of the messages in order to have an opinion with some basis before you decide that there is something wrong "here".

I have done browsed them, and what I keep hearing is about the spiritual director. I have read the messages, and I do feel very uncomfortable with them. The attitude, what I feel is the lack of love, in the messages bothers me a great deal. I know that there are others who feel they are true, but I have to question them. I do not feel comfortable with them at all.

Anyhow to get back to your question HOPE.. How to open up to the Holy Spirit.
I really don't feel qualified to answer this question but I'll give it a shot!
When I first started serious prayer after my medjugorge conversion... (actually I used to pray seriously before then but it was a prayer of despair to a condemning God).
... anyhow, I started reading lots of books on the Holy Spirit and His role in our lives. Previously it was always God the Father, Jesus or Our Lady I would pray to. I then started to become more conscious of Him and used to pray in tongues and read scripture as much as I could. I was involved in prayer meetings at that time too and I became more open to the gifts of word of knowlege, wisdom and prophecy. This went on for some years until one night I was at a prayer meeting in Dublin and I experienced the Holy Spirit telling me about being open to being mugged by Him. I thought about this and figured if I was walking down a street and expecting to be mugged by a person, then I never would be, because I would be on my guard against any such attack. I felt I needed to pray for the grace to allow the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself in ways other than word of knowledge, wisdom etc. Up to then it was the only way I expected Him to reveal Himself because it was the normal tried and tested way.
So... to make a long story longer:) I prayed for the grace to become more open to His revelations and within a short time I found I could hear Him in the words of a song, not necessarily a spiritual song, just one line would keep repeating itself in my mind until I copped onto it, or a verse in scripture would come into my mind and I would have to search the bible to find it. The verse could be in my mind for a day or two sometimes until I finally realised God wanted to speak to me... yes I can be a little slow at times lol!
Just to finish off this piece... I did the consecration to Our Lady according to St. Louise de Montfort and the gifts of knowledge , prophecy etc dimished a lot but whenever I would receive them they were really accurate and went straight to the root of a problem.. I think Our Lady filtered them!
In a nutshell, God gives his gifts for us to use for others or sometimes to encourage or guide ourselves and all we need is the desire to serve Him and surrender to Him and He will do the rest!
Also sitting at the feet of Jesus in silent adoration is huge for me..

I hope this helps a little..
I probably could have written it better but it has been a long day:sleep:

    God Bless

  11. Thanks for your clarification. I understand and fully respect that you don't feel comfortable with these messages, Rosebud. No problem with that.
But that doesn't mean that it is fair to say anything about them, even if it is not true.

I think you mean in this forum, not in the messages. A lot of posts in this forum speak about the spiritual director of the locutioninst. But as you can understand what we are talking here in the forum does not make the locutions right or wrong. It is only our opinions. And even if you don't like that, well this is a forum for discussion of opinions as well as facts. etc.

But these conversations we are having here and our mention of the spiritual director don't make that to be the case with the messages themselves, which are not about the locutionist or the spiritual director.

I'm sorry that you see this in the locutions. To me it's exactly the opposite. I see so much love, true love, in every message. It is a Mother talking about the true problems of Her children, the real ones, whether drugs, war, priests sinners, nonbelievers, everyone! ... and always leaving a door open for them to return home.

    God bless you, Rosebud.

  12. See this message from three days ago, and judge if it is lacking in love:

    March 02

    Jesus
When all begins to become clear to the cardinals, they will see the greatness of their call and the overwhelming responsibility that has fallen to them. They will see the state of the world, so ready to rip apart at the seams. They will see a Church, bringing in a full harvest in some continents and having little to show in others. They will see the Muslim threat, ever growing and always menacing.
Yet, they will see more. They will see my Sacred Heart, filled with love yet so many times rejected, even by my Church. Into my heart they must enter. Only there will they see and understand. No one should sit upon the Chair of Peter unless he is close to my heart. I have not called an intellectual. I have not called a charming personality. I want one kind of pope – a pope whose heart burns with mine, whose wisdom comes from the Holy Spirit, and whose papacy will follow my direction. Anyone else is not acceptable at this moment in the history of the world and the Church.

I love that story Border Collie about the Holy Spirit , 'Mugging you', for it is so true and insightful.:)

It reminds me of another favourite saying I heard one time, 'God is not a pussy cat you can't hold him on your lap'.

I heard a wonderful talk one tiome by the Head Abbot of the CIstercians. ..a saint if there ever was one. He compared to the Holy Spirit to a joker in the pack. In other words as something you just can't plan on.

He said we are all like people who build a house of cards. Then the Holy SPirit comes along like a mighty wind and blows the house over forcing us to start again. I think the rich spiritual life should be like that ;starting again every day..as St Francis used to say to the brothers, 'Let us begin today!' For if not we are keeping God as a cat on our laps or building Houses of cards.

I think sin has this great advantge it blows down our houses of cards, chases the cat from our laps and mugs us.:)

For this reason, I think sinners make far more comfortable company to be with than the righteous. The sinner has no illusions, the righteous have God on their laps.;)
