God bless everyone here. I think we should each say a rosary for Mother of God Forum today. Asking the Lord for the graces of charity during these very difficult times.
I do';t really mind if people put forward different views than mine; I don't have a monopoly on the truth. I do try to be open and admit the distinct possibility of being wrong. I find discussion intellectually and spiritually invigorating. I don't feel threatened or challenged by it but am quite comfortable with it. Perhaps I am in a minority of one on that but there you are. I don't feel such discussion threatens the forum either. Certainly people will come and people will go, but that is the very nature of a forum like this. Unless people are clearly putting forward something that is open heresy I don't want to draw a line on what people can or cannot post.
Thanks Padraig, I don’t want to either, but the way it’s being discussed on this thread is developing heat, not light, on both sides of the debate. I thought maybe to temporarily close it for time for thought and prayer, in the name of forum unity during a very difficult and emotional time, might be prudent. I didn’t intend this to develop the way it did. Mea culpa.
