I think, spiritually at any time but particularly this present moment of crisis and grave confusion is to do what Jesus said and to take the lowest place at the table and to be thankful we are given it.

For me the lowest place at the table is this. I am not a theologian, I have no training in theology whatsoever.

I am not a cleric I am the very lowliest of laypeople.

What little understanding I have of what is going on convinces me that something is very, very gravely gone wrong with the Church and the Holy Father. I have no doubt at all about this.

But God through Holy Mother Church has given me no real power to do very much about this apart from Prayer Penance and Fasting. I could protest but who would care what someone like me would venture to say?

I am indeed very much at the bottom of the bottom of the table and I am fine with this.

It is up to the Cardinals and Bishops to fix this. After all it was them that broke it in the first place.:)

it seems to me we should beware of taking too much on ourselves in this situation. Stick to the bottom of the table. If the Holy Spirit wants to call me to sit up higher I am sure He will let me know.

Till them I am happy sitting where I am praying away like crazy for the whole crazy bunch in the Vatican.
    :D

This is pretty much where I am too I have taken the same strategy with secular news. I just avoid it. The lowest place sounds like a great blessing from where I am standing.

Thank you AED. Sean what AED says is correct this forum needs a well balanced, clear insightful speaker for these times. One who speaks with humility and guards the faith. We are all foot soldiers in this war for Mary our General, we all carry our "sword (the rosary, scapular, and the rock of Peter)" but their are some who have the gift of giving courage to others by their run into battle with them, to inspire with their words HOPE. There a several here on the forum who I would follow into our Lady's war for her son.
As our Mother stayed with her son when he fell on Calvary waiting for him to regain his strength to get up, we wait and pray for you and others who are exhausted from battling in this war which though has been long, it has only begun for us.
