    Welcome to the forum ,Rolly.

If I had to guess I would say there is a pyrmaid of relationships to God and some things connect more directly to God because they are more Spiritual.

For instance I would say poetry, say was more spiritual than say eating , eating being more physical. Disinterested love is more pure than simple sex. Pleasure, being based more than the physical is less spiritual than joy..and so one.

But nevertheless that is not to say that physical things do not often have a spiritual dimension, sex tied up with love. eating with sharing and so on...but that things like joy is a kind of distilled version of pleasure and love a distilled version of sex.

Ha ! This reminds me of cathechism class...I hope I haven't being writing nonsense.
