I am long, long, long past the time of being polite or nice about Pope Francis... the very sight of him makes my dogs growl...:):)

He and his good mate, the arch pervert Fr James Martin SJ

Strangely enough our good pal Michael Brown apparently doesn’t see much that’s wrong with the current pope’s agenda and basically posts articles that are not critical of him and avoids controversy.

    Why I don’t know.

Maybe something to do with this?

    Sigh.

    Sigh,

    Sigh.

..and he's giving retreats on Cruise Ships too.

At least he was. Till the virus came along and wrecked profits.

Never the least thing critical of Joe Biden or Nanci.

    I despise fence sitters.

I totally despise them. ( taking a stand for the unborn may be bad for profits...we're selling Rosary beads here). Despicable.

    Revelation 3:15

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!

Making dough of the Sacred..fench sitting is good for buisness....

I always though it was so strange...giving retreats on Cruise Ships...what was that all about?

Except that the NO Mass has a valid consecration when properly offered.

I have heard devout evangelicals say the same about many or most of their high profile ministries. Fence sitting because its a business. Mark Taylor the retired fireman was saying this last night. In 2015 he believed he had a word ftom the Holy Spirit about Donald Trump. When it came true the big names came for him to bring him into their enterprises. When he realized what was going on he pulled away. He told them he didn't want $ and fame. He wanted to do what the Lord was telling him to do. They kept telling him "this is a Christian business. You can have wonderful material wealth." He shook the dust off his feet and without naming names started calling out false churchmen. They blacklisted him. Sad that this runs across other Christian churches too. I feel sad about Michael Brown but you can get hooked in if your "ministry" is your livelihood. It makes Ralph Martin all the more admirable for telling the truth.

I know that. The point I'm making is that the changes in the church have been radical. Luther and Henry VIII would feel right at home.

When I was about 10-12 years old I went to an Anglican Church before I converted to Catholicism. I converted during the interregnum period. Pope John XXIII had just passed away. Pope Paul VI had not been elected. The Mass was the TLM. After a few years, you are correct, the NO resembled the Anglican service.

    A cruise and a retreat.

    Oxymoron?

Michael Brown does not sit on the fence over abortion. He strongly opposes it. I am a bit wary over the pay to view special reports. We are in such times that God’s friends need to know important matters concerning the spiritual realm.

OTOH I am not especially concerned about giving retreats on cruise ships. It depends on the itinerary. If there was daily Mass and interesting speakers on relevant matters then I could see that it could be relaxing and edifying. I’ve been on a number of cruises but always with historic interest. No casinos or dodgy comedians.

A religious ministry for a lay person is probably best funded from other sources unless The Lord has made a specific calling. Ralph Martin is a teacher in a Catholic university for instance.

A joyous day for all Carmelites, today is the feast Day of Saint Teresa de Avila

"She was responsible for the Carmelite Reform in the 16th century, restoring the Carmelite nuns’ original way of life—simple, austere, and prayerful.

In her lifetime, St. Teresa of Ávila‎ had set up over 10 convents for Carmelites throughout Spain, even while she was ill and experiencing difficulties. Many people have since looked up to the beloved saint and celebrate her feast day religiously every year. "

Let us pray to Santa Teresa and ask her to help these dear nuns who are being persecuted for being "simple, austere, and prayerful" brides of Christ.
