President Obama has altered the course of USA foreign policy
today in one stroke and the green light has been given to both Moscow and
Tehran that Obama is an appeaser and a soft touch.

The Iranian threat grows stronger by the day - central Europe is
open to attack [including Medjugorje area!!]. I fear IRAN big-time!!

    Obama shelves Europe missile plans

I think they say that one of the Signs of Times would be religious wars. This has come about and who would have thought even a few years ago that such a thing might be?

One of the interesting things in Iran and in Islam generally is that they are awaiting the appearance of the Mahdi and of his imposition of the World Caliphate or world Sharia law/ Islamic rule.

'According to the Shia and Sunni versions of the Islamic eschatology the Mahdi (مهدي Mahdī, also Mehdi; "Guided One") is the prophesied redeemer of Islam who will stay on earth seven, nine, or nineteen years (depending on the interpretation[1]) before the coming of the day, Yawm al-Qiyamah (literally "Day of the Resurrection" or "Day of the Standing").[2] Muslims believe the Mahdi will rid the world of error, injustice and tyranny alongside Jesus.[3] The concept of Mahdi is not explicitly mentioned in the Qu'ran nor in the Sunni hadiths such as Sahih al-Bukhari which only mention the second coming of Jesus.[4][5] It is only one of the six books of hadīth. Some orthodox Sunnī theologians accordingly question Mahdist beliefs[5], but such beliefs form a necessary part of Shīʿī doctrine.'[4]

At the same time Fundamentalist Christians have become obsessed with the False notio0n of the 'Rapture'..a recent innovation in which all 'Born again' Christians {not Catholics or those of other faith or even fellow Protestants who have 'erred'} will be caught up to heaven as a prelude to the Second Coming of Christ:

The Rapture is a concept in Christianity relating to the return of Jesus. The primary passage describing the rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, in which Paul cites "the word of the Lord" about the return of Jesus to gather his saints. Although all Christian denominations believe in Christ's return, there are two primary views regarding its nature:

    1. Dispensationalist Premillennialists (such as many Evangelicals, especially in the United States) hold the return of Christ to be in two stages. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 is seen to be a preliminary event to the return described in Matthew 24:29-31. Although both describe a return of Jesus in the clouds with angelic activity, trumpets, heavenly signs, and a gathering of the saints, these are seen to be two separate events, the first unseen, and the second public. The majority of dispensationalists hold that the first event immediately precedes the period of Tribulation. (See chart for additional Dispensationalist timing views)
    2. Amillennialists (such as Roman Catholics, and others), Postmillennialists (such as some Presbyterians, and others), and Historic Premillennialists (such as Calvinistic Baptists, and others) hold that the return of Christ will be a single, public event. All passages regarding the return of Christ, such as Matthew 24:29-31, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, Revelation 1:7, etc, describe the return of Jesus in the clouds amidst trumpets, angelic activity, heavenly signs, a resurrection, and a gathering of saints. Although some (such as some Amillennialists) take this event to be figurative, rather than literal, these three groups maintain that passages regarding the return of Christ describe a single event, and that the "word of the Lord" cited by Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 is the Olivet Discourse which Matthew separately describes in Matthew 24:29-31. Although the doctrinal relationship of the rapture and the Second Coming are the same in these three groups, Historic Premillennialists are more likely to use the term "rapture" to clarify their position in distinction from Dispensationalists.

But I don't think these ideas are accidents, they arise from a deep disquiet in the hearts of Man ..a feeling that something is coming, that something is going to happen soon. I suppose we Catholics mirror this in a way with world wide apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Even Hindhus and Jewish people, American Indians and so on have strong stories that things are about to happen.

'On Thursday 21 September 1995 at a Hindu Temple in New Delhi, when worshippers placed an offering of milk to a statue of the Indian elephant-headed deity Ganesha, to their shock, the statue started to drink their milk from their spoons! And of course, the word spread from one place to another swiftly, but instead of people having it deemed as a joke, it was found that nearly all across Asia, people witnessed the Hindu statues of deities sucking milk from the spoons. The weirdest thing was that soon, even in North America and Africa was this phenomena recorded too! Television reports and news kept showing images of these deities sucking milk from people's hands and spoon. They just kept drinking! It was also said that in a temple in Hong Kong, one such deity even drank 20 litres of milk! But the phenomena ended as swiftly as it had begun, and by the next day, 22 September, the idols worldwide somehow all stopped drinking milk! People has seen it as a miracle, but this had left many baffled.'

I think that this verse is relevant to our times:

    John 16 v1-4
    1"All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. 2. They will put you out of the synagogue;
in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.
    3. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. 4. I have told you this,
so that when the time comes you will remember that I warned you. I did not tell you this at
first because I was with you.

Extremist Muslims believe they do God's will when they kill infidels [Christians] but they know not the
love of the Father or Jesus. These verses are shockingly familiar to our times of religious wars.
The scene is being set before our very eyes. The west is weakened economically [I believe a 2nd
crunch is on the way as we will go into depression next year] and President Obama gave the
green light that he is an appeaser in foreign policy - Iran and Moscow must be clapping for joy.
The Iranians probably have the bomb. I fear they won't fear using it when the time is right. It might
come sooner than we all expect.

There are prophecies that state that before the coming of the Great Christian Monarch that Europe
will be invaded by Muslim armies. That might be a few years down the line but I do believe that Rome
will be hit by a nuclear device under the next Pope [St Malachy]. And that couold be the prelude
    for an invasion.

I too, Bobby believe Rome will be destroyed, not least for its great lack of faith after the huge graces it received from the sacrifice of the Roman martrys and home of Popes.

However the Pope must flee Rome before its destruction and that will be the sign of its end

    John of Vitiguerro (13th Century)

The pope will change his residence and the Church will not be defended for twenty-five months or more because, during all that time there will be no Pope in Rome... After many tribulations, a Pope shall be elected out of those who survived the persecutions.

Vision of St Pope Pius x

In 1909, in the midst of an audience with members of the Franciscan order, he seemed to fall into a trance. Moments passed, then his eyes sprung open and he jumped to his feet. "What I have seen is terrifying!” he cried out. “Will I be the one, or will it be a successor? What is certain is that the Pope will leave Rome and, in leaving the Vatican, he will have to pass over the dead bodies of his priests!"

Shortly before his death, another vision came to him: "I have seen one of my successors, of the same name, who was fleeing over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place; but after a brief respite, he will die a cruel death.

St Malachy on Peter the Roman [the next Pope]

'During the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, the seat will be occupied by
Peter the Roman, who will feed his sheep in many tribulations:
and when these things are finished, the seven-hilled city will be destroyed,
and the formidable Judge will judge his people''.

Well, Terry, I had a series of dreams about 20 years ago about these events but never really wrote much about them for several reasons. One reason was the fear of being thought a nut. Remember this was long before 9/11 or the invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan, before, I suppose Al Queada had ever been invented or anyone had really talked about Islamic extremism. However times have changed and it does not take much imagination to see such things as the Fall of Rome and Europe are quite possible now. Also I had a feeling that God didn't really want these things talked about and didn't really ask me to talk about them , it was kind of a personal heads up because my dreams showed I am due to die at the hands of Islamic religious police/army at the end.

I am always a little sceptical of folks who puts dates on future events. But in this case when I saw my death is about a little over 30 years away. for I look to be in my early 80's and am 53 now. There will be a great Islamic religious, military , political leader who will be believed to be the Mahdi . He will form a special kind of elite religious, military religious force. kind of like a Cross between the Knights of Malta and the Catholic Inquisition. These guys will be widely used in Europe against folks who refuse to turn Apostate and will run huge death camps. Far worse than the Holocaust. There will be two kinds of these people, the Imans who will lead them will , like their leader wear long dark robes. Their leader will be thin and saturnine looking with a beard and will also be quite brilliant. The soldiers will wear more usual military dress. They will invade Europe on several fronts at the same time, including Spain and Italy and over run the whole of Europe, including Ireland.

But how can Europe fall/ After all France and Britain have nuclear weapons and large very capable armies? How is such a thing possible?

Well I believe what other dreams have shown me makes this possible. A great series of wars will break out centred on Eastern Europe involving the use of nuclear weapons. A lot of the area will be a nuclear slag heap. Europe will be greatly weakened and afraid. She will also be riddled with followers of Islam like a cheese. Her 'own people' followers of Islam who are her citizens will rebel and betray Europe to her enemies.

But why then will the USA not intervene? As she did for instance in the First and Second World Wars. Because I believe she will be most fully occupied with a whole huge series of problems of her own which will fully involve her in her own life and death struggles and she will be hugely effected by the previous wars, which will involve the use of ICBMs.

Can the Caliphate make a comeback?

WASHINGTON -- Islamic political theory envisions a Muslim world united under the rule of a caliph, who exercises spiritual and temporal authority over all Muslims. Many Muslims now hope for the restoration of the Caliphate. Could this actually occur?

In the early days of Islam, caliphs ruled over most of the Muslim world as it then existed. But divisions eventually prevailed. The Ottoman sultans were the last to be generally acknowledged as caliphs by Sunni Muslims, even though they were losing temporal control over their Middle Eastern empire to the European colonial powers. The leader of Turkey's secular nationalist revolution, Kemal Ataturk, abolished the Ottoman Caliphate in 1924. Although some have claimed the title, nobody since then has been widely acknowledged as caliph.

Many Muslims believe that the European colonial powers artificially divided the Islamic world into a multitude of small, relatively weak countries so they would not be able to deal with the West on an equal basis, despite the great oil wealth that the Muslim world as a whole possesses. If, however, the entire Muslim world (or just the entire Sunni Muslim world) became united in a Caliphate stretching -- albeit discontinuously -- from Morocco to Indonesia, the situation would change dramatically. This Caliphate would be at least the equal of the West, and perhaps more powerful than it. The Muslim world would be in a much stronger position to shape the world order to its advantage than at present. This could have an enormous impact on the outcome of the many ongoing conflicts between Muslims and non-Muslims, including those in Israel/Palestine, Kashmir, Chechnya, the Balkans, and elsewhere.

It is not surprising, then, that the re-emergence of the Caliphate is an idea that appeals to many Muslims. But could the Caliphate actually re-emerge? Would Muslims welcome it if it did?

In the Muslim world's current circumstances, I believe that both questions would have to be answered negatively. In most of the Muslim world, authoritarian rule is the norm. In addition, most of the opponents of these authoritarian governments are authoritarian themselves -- including those who call for the revival of the Caliphate. The attempt to create a Caliphate under the auspices of almost any existing Muslim government or opposition movement is thus likely to result in an authoritarian super state.

Some Muslims may be bothered by this while others might not. What is certain to cause friction, though, is the ethnic politics of the Muslim world. Given that an authoritarian caliph will come from somewhere in the Muslim world, other Muslims might not wish to be ruled by somebody not of their own country.

Egyptians, for example, might not wish to be ruled by a Saudi caliph. And Arabs might not wish to be ruled (again) by a Turkish caliph. Indeed, just the anticipation of being ruled by a caliph from one part of the Muslim world might spark resistance to the Caliphate project elsewhere, or rival claims to be caliph just like in the early days of Islam. Under these circumstances, any attempt to establish a Caliphate may fail before it can even come close to fruition.

The prospects for the re-emergence of the Caliphate might be much greater, however, if democratic norms became more common in the Muslim world and the Caliphate were envisioned not as a unitary government but as an international organization uniting the nations within it, similar to the European Union. It would not matter then what part of the Muslim world the caliph came from if, instead of ruling autocratically, he was the legitimately selected leader of Muslim governments that were legitimately elected themselves -- and whose leaders all strictly abided by democratically accepted legal norms.

If this is how the Caliphate re-emerged, the Muslim world would not just be a great power, but a truly great nation. The prospects for this occurring, however, are extremely poor. But if this democratic vision of the Caliphate ever became predominant among Muslims, it has a much greater chance of coming into being than any of the authoritarian visions of the Caliphate that are now prevalent.

    Padraig -

your dreams match so well to the prophecies about the rise of Islam.
A few years ago it would have been hard to believe that such things were
possible. But the disintegration of the West is happening much faster than
anyone could have imagined. The collapse of family life is at the heart of the
decline of western civilization. The culture of death and the anti-family policies
of modern democracies have eroded Christian culture the very essence of what
made Europe great. Economies thrive with large families but most countries do
not have replacement level population growth hence immigration. A demographic
winter is certain within a generation. The Muslim population growth is in stark
contrast and the threat within will grow.

God will not be mocked - abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, the culture of death,
the culture of lust, homosexuality, promiscuity, pornography, family breakdown, divorce,
are anathema to a holy God. He places a choice before us as in the garden of Eden,
resist the fruits of the tree of evil and you shall live. Repent of evil and the addiction to sin
turn to the living God and Europe shall be restored in all her glory. For if we do not repent
God will allow a foreign people to conquer and enslave us as the Jews in Egypt. Militant Islam
will end the culture of death and lust but at the price of our freedom. Sharia law will end
abortion, hedonism, pornography, homosexuality, euthanasia but the price will be great,
a great martyrdom awaits, the red robes of sacrifice.

At Mass on Sunday in Liverpool [St Chales Borromeo, Aigburth Avenue] I saw a beautiful
statue of the Sacred Heart so full of love. I sensed that Jesus so much wants to bless the
world and pour out his divine love and graces - I sense a wonderful time of blessing is
coming soon, a moment of pure divine mercy [totally undeserved], because Jesus is
love and Jesus is generosity personified. He wants to bless us all, each individual and
every family. Perhaps this is the warning/miracle period - a blessing and a strengthening
before the unleashing of the tribulations. Before justice comes mercy. Many will
be unprepared for the cup of blessing, caught by surprise by the generosity of God and
unable to take it in. But the saints are in waiting and will be filled with apostolic fervour
and the spirit of evangelism. They will face the tribulations with faith, hope and love and
be a light to the weak. They will endure sacrifice, penance, persecution under the mantle
of our Lady of Grace and be a witness to the truth of her Divine Son, redeemer of the
world. They will sing of the glories of God and his praises shall be on their lips. They are
the martyrs of the book of Revelation, a royal priesthood, a chosen people, a people
set apart to sing the praises of their God. Theirs will be a crown of martyrdom. And God
will come to their rescue for a mighty Christian Monarch shall arise and blessed by a holy
Pope will defeat and evict the infidel from our shores and a period of peace shall be granted
to the world as a fruit of the blood of the martyrs.

Padraig, that must be quite disturbing, if that were to come true. I have wondered for a while whether or not the Islamists would reach Ireland, some said they would, others said they wouldn't, but I think myself that if they did the Irish people (abt 4 million people) would be wiped out in no time, which of course is terrible to imagine, particularly when we try to think of our safety and that of our families and friends. Please God may it be His will that they do not. I dont know though.

I have a friend ,Shane who had a series of dreams about Ireland and an Islamic invasion, which makes me think they will reach Ireland. One thing struck me was the great terror they will cause here. I personally think that they will reach here now, though I hoped one time this would not be so.

Look for instance at the Civil Union Bill the Southern Government is about to pass facilitating {lets call a spade a spade here}sexual perverts getting 'married'. As far as I can tell amongst the clergy I only heard of one priest kicking up a fuss about this, Father John Hogan, a lowly Curate from Drogheda. Where were the Bishops and Seminary Professors amongst others? Just this uncanny frightened silence.

It was the same in the North of course. Anyone who speaks out against the Gay Lobby now...well you might as well join the Klu Klux Klan and go out burning crosses. for the Liberal Media will crucify you. It has now become a matter of 'Rights' against bigotry.

I think, Bobby the Book of Daniel gives a good insight to the reasons for all this. Empires become corrupt and then God chooses another people to beat and break them with. So with Europe. Islam regards Europe (and America} and the west in general as being morally insane. Of course in this they are quite right, we have become morally insane. So God will permit Islam to break us. MENE, MENE, TEKEL,

    Daniel 5

(5:1) Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his
lords, and drank wine before the thousand. (5:2) Belshazzar, whiles
he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which
his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in
Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines,
might drink therein. (5:3) Then they brought the golden vessels
that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at
Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines,
drank in them. (5:4) They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold,
and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. (5:5) In
the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against
the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and
the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. (5:6) Then the king's
countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints
of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another. (5:7)
The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the
soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon,
Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof,
shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck,
and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom. (5:8) Then came in all the
king's wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to
    the king the interpretation thereof.

    and later on

(5:23) But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they
have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy
lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou
hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and
stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy
breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified: (5:24)
Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.
(5:25) And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL,
UPHARSIN. (5:26) This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath
numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. (5:27) TEKEL; Thou art weighed in
the balances, and art found wanting. (5:28) PERES; Thy kingdom is divided,
and given to the Medes and Persians. (5:29) Then commanded Belshazzar, and
they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck,
and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler
in the kingdom. (5:30) In that night was Belshazzar the king of the
    Chaldeans slain.

Sean, I don't think the militants will wipe everyone out. They have to use the indigenous populations
to maintain the economy and civil order at least those who will convert to Islam. Those who refuse
to convert will be beheaded. So it may be that that a minority will resist, the majority out of fear
will go along with whatever their captives want. Of course, this is speculation and we just don't know
how it will play out. But I think Padraig's image of death/extrermination camps is a possibility. I would
imagine that they will round up the believers who refuse to convert to Islam and hence a great
    Christian holocaust - martyrdom.

Thanks Padraig for the Biblical reference - God cannot tolerate the insanity that passes for democracy
in the West. I believe the civil union bills will hasten judgement. And they dare to call it marriage insulting
every sacramental union. Our society has lost it bearings, our politicians are insane and our pastors quite
asleep! And a whole generation is lost to the Lord.

This is where the warning will play such a vital role - the illumination will divide society. The repentant
against the unrepentant. There will be no grey only black & white. After the warning true Christians will
stand up against the hedonism and reject the culture of death and call a spade a spade. But a great number
will reject God even after the illumination. The warning will also hasten the rise of militant Islam and they
will become even more angry and evil. So the warning will accelerate many things and have an enormous
    impact.

But God's will will be done according to His kind purposes.

There is a heartrending passage in Jeremiah 12 which speaks to this theme:

7 "I have forsaken My house,
    I have abandoned My inheritance;
I have given the beloved of My soul
Into the hand of her enemies.
8 "My inheritance has become to Me
    Like a lion in the forest;
    She has roared against Me;
Therefore I have come to hate her.
9 "Is My inheritance like a speckled bird of prey to Me?
Are the birds of prey against her on every side?
Go, gather all the beasts of the field,
    Bring them to devour!
10 "Many shepherds have ruined My vineyard,
    They have trampled down My field;
They have made My pleasant field
    A desolate wilderness.
11 "It has been made a desolation,
    Desolate, it mourns before Me;
The whole land has been made desolate,
Because no man lays it to heart.

This is a beautiful piece of Hebraic poetry, rich in symbolism and meaning. The grevious transition in God's attitude toward His Beloved (v.7) when he describes her as hateful (v. eight) just blows me away. The Jewish use of hyberbole is key to understanding this radical change. Israel has taken the demonic stance of a rebellious, arrogant lion roaring against her Lord. So God allows justice to fall and Israel reaps what she sows. Since she plays the devouring lion then the beasts of v.9 (the nations) will chew her up! The Beloved becomes desolate!!

I believe Europe and North America are in a similar position. Europe was once the cradle of Christianity who birthed North America. Both have contemptuously rejected God. Both face the retribution God has often used in the past: implosion from within and invasion from without.

There is a hope laid out in v.11, however. Prayer warriors make a difference for they lay it to heart. I pray that we who are members of Mary's Brigade may lay it to heart and mitigate the Lord's holy wrath, becoming channels for His Mercy.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

I love the old Jewish tradition , Terry of the 'Lamed-Vavnik' or 38 holy people who must always exist and through whose prayers the world is saved from destruction from God's Justice:

    http://www.forward.com/articles/13406/

Sometimes Jewish folk even point at this or that Rabbi and suggest he is a '36er' and is keeping the world afloat, like the gentleman pictured here:

In Catholicism we , too have a tradition that there are a number of 'Victim Souls' who keep the world afloat by their holiness and that if such a shield should fail to be renewed...

Anyhow before work I will post pictured of a few who I believe, recently,

    kept the world afloat:

I suppose Padraig that prayer has already delayed the chastisements
but with the weight of sin there comes a tipping point and we move
clearly and decisively from mercy to justice.

The signs of the times are written clearly in the sand. Each day new and
pernicious laws are passed that were unthinkable even twenty years ago.
Politicians have become the pawns of Satan and are incapable of making
    reasoned judgements.

The two sins that I feel are calling for direct justice are abortion and sins of the flesh.
The promotion of the homosexual lifestyle and civil unions are also a particular abomination
in the eyes of the Lord. They are un-natural and can never be justified.

I think Bobby, that at Fatima, Our Lady said that the greatest number of souls were then being led to hell by sins of Impurity.

But I think Pope Pius was right when he said that the very great failing that is bringing down the Chastisement is the lukewarmness of Catholics. We were the yeast, the leaven and our hearts have grown cold. If we became Holy the world would become Holy.

I think it was Nietzche who said that the only thing that stopped him becoming a Christian was the behaviour of Christians. Even if we would only say the rosary...... as Our Mother asks...

May God lead me to holiness that He might lead others to Holiness....

Jesus said that to St Faustina also, that in His Agony in the garden, lukewarm souls caused him the most suffering.

Back to Iran again - they have a secret and second refinement and enrichment facility

So Iran may well have the bomb.

Recently we have been sensing on this forum that a big event like 9/11 may be around the
corner. I share this for what it is worth.

I have a feeling President Obama could be attacked - something tells me his life is in
danger. I fear for him as he is so young with a young family. Hopefully my instincts are
wrong but in todays troubled world anything is possible.

    God Bless
