Sometimes certain Bible passages jump out and resonate deeply in your soul - todays first reading at Mass is one that really caught my attention as Daniel appears to speak of the incarnation of the Eternal Word, Jesus Christ -

    First Reading: Daniel 7v 13-14

13 I beheld therefore in the vision of the night, and lo, one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and he came even to the Ancient of days: and they presented him before him.
14 And he gave him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes and tongues shall serve him: his power is an everlasting power that shall not be taken away: and his kingdom that shall not be destroyed.

Here we see an explicit reference to Christ the Messiah. Jesus often use the title the son of Man for He truly was man body and soul, born of a Virgin with human DNA.

And he came to the Ancient of days refers to his Divinity, that Christ the second person of the Holy Trinity is the eternal Word, the eternal Logos that became entombed in flesh in the womb of the Virgin. Christ developed like all human beings, the Word was a zygote, the word was an embryo, the Word was a 12 year old boy, the Word was a 33 year old man crucified cruelly on a cross.

His Kingdom is an eternal kingdom and every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus Christ is the King of Kings he reigns from heaven and his kingdom on earth reigns through his Church and all who live in sanctifying grace.

    Viva Cristo Rey.

Father reminded us in his homily that the Throne of Jesus Our King was the Cross. It was the instrument to our reaching heaven. I’m not typically a courageous man but during these 4 months after the accident where Christ kept me on thus earth I’m coming more to understand and truly believe that this Cross my wife and I was given is a blessing and a gift. I pray I can continue to not just carry it but kiss it and love it United to my King and Savior. We thank you all for helping us carry the cross through your prayers. We pray for all of you. God is good, all the tine even when we can’t see it.

Praise to the Lord, we are both home now. Starting “couples therapy” (PT, OT, ST ) next week on out patient basis. Alyce is using a wheelchair and a walker to get around. I’m using a cane.

This experience will lead to a new normal for us but it’s a grace because I am more focused and in love with my God. Thus accident in many ways was a blessing. Peace.

please continue to pray for us as we do for all of you.
