The revival of paganism marks our times. And when archeologists (speaking of the ritual sacrifice of children in 1st millennium) describe pagan rituals involving the ritual sacrifice of little ones as non-violent, it proves how mutually barbaric our two genocidal cultures are : María Belén Méndez, an archaeologist who was not involved with the project, said the discovery confirms “that there has been an interconnection between both cultures and what their relationships with their gods and celestial bodies was like.” “We see how the issue of sacrifice exists in both cultures. It was a practice; it’s not that they were violent, it was their way of connecting with the celestial bodies,” she said. The altar is just over a yard (1 meter) wide from east to west and nearly 2 yards (2 meters) from north to south. It is about a yard (1 meter) tall and covered with limestone. Lord have Mercy!
I think one thing I noticed recently just speaking to ordinary random Catholics is that they have a good sense of something very, very big coming down the line. We call this the Sensus Fidleium, the sense of the Faithful. Their inner radar if you like.
Yes and it's a strange feeling. Waiting on the edge. Father Mike's sermon on Sunday was pretty good. Talking about dead ends as the place to meet God who is the only one who can make a way through them.
I am not impressed by seers backing each other up and I think the church has a problem with that. Fr Michelle said last June that the warning is only months away. Maybe that was based on expected end to the synod but date now extended to 2028. If that is so it puts questions over Luz and Fr Michelle. I now just focus on Medjugorje and Garabandal. I feel a lot of fear mongering going on.
The Warning will prove to be a crucial and salvific event, but the moment of my death will prove to be my decisive event, at which my eternal destiny will be fixed. Best to keep that on my radar by humble, ongoing repentance.
But perhaps not THE GREAT SIGN/Warning of Garabandal... October, 1968 CONCHITA: Q. We have heard that some say the Warning may be a natural phenomenon but will be used by God to speak to mankind. Is this true? A. The Warning is something supernatural and will not be explained by science. It will be seen and felt.
Exactly Mario, that was the crux of the message of Our Lady at Akita--to cover ourselves in ashes and pray in reparation and to do much penance.
All the saints writing on the Spiritual Life and prayer emphasise that we have to go through a Dark Night before getting to the morning. They also underline that that night is a healing night of rebirth. as for individual souls, so for the world. A darkness is falling, but it is a healing one. The morning is coming. A nice remembrance as we enter Holy Week. Easter is close.
