Not to belabor my defense of Dr. Graney's argument but I don't think the question of time of Jupiter within Virgo this time around was noticed so much since his concentration was upon the other part that was obvious to him as not necessarily limited to the number 12 at the head....regardless of what Jupiter's role in the whole being different this time around or not. IOW, he could have agree with that unusual aspect but it would still not change the other aspect that he was noting. You could always write to him and point out your concern about glossing over that other aspect of Jupiter's timing this time around. He could acknowledge that fact while still making the point about the "crown's" own left out facts that could negate the whole anyway for some. Anyway, the forum with the Vatican Observatory head I linked to is very good I found. Apparently to this expert all of the hype about the blood moons that people read everywhere was filled with misinformation! Perhaps a bit like the difference between a scientific outlook and a poetic outlook.
That quote from Macbeth was when he was reacting to learning about Lady Macbeth's death. We learn later that she apparently committed suicide. Macbeth and his wife were evil people. They did the bidding of witchcraft spells and committed murder for their own gain. That is the meaning of the last few lines of the soliloquy. Despair. The wages of sin being death. They were not in Christ. We must remain in Christ. Remain in the state of grace so our lives will reflect the Lord. I keep thinking about doing the simplest of things in union with the Lord. Right now I have a plumbing issue which has resulted in the water being turned off in my kitchen sink until Friday, when a new fixture will arrive. How I hate it. I draw water from the bathroom. Poor little me. People in Mexico and in the Caribbean have no power, no utilities at all. I am so thoroughly spoiled. In the words of St. John the Baptist, "He must increase, I must decrease." I think of that quote a lot, since apparently I am in great and immediate need of decreasing. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for reminding us about Cardinal Burke and Pope Francis. What a sorry situation.
Oh pray to St. Vincent Ferrer. He is patron saint of plumbing/plumbers. He fixed a huge problem in my bathroom. He is amazing.
etoa, Here is a link to an article which disputes the Leo "issue", http://www.unsealed.org/2017/08/why-revelation-12-sign-cant-be-debunked.html . Here is their argument: 3. Some people have taken issue with the claim that Leo + Mercury, Mars, and Venus = 12 stars. It's true that some depictions of Leo have 10 stars, some 13, and some even 15 or more, but what does that prove? The most widely circulated depiction of Leo (by far) shows nine stars. You'll find it in most astronomy programs and books (not just Stellarium) and in most planetariums. Just a simple Google search will show you that a large majority of depictions have nine stars. So perhaps you could argue that the number of stars in Leo varies if you use unorthodox depictions, but what you can't say is that Leo + Mercury, Mars, and Venus can't equal 12 stars because clearly it can and judging by the most prevalent depictions of the constellation that's exactly how many stars will be above Virgo's head on September 23rd. Also, as someone who is closely watching the formation of this sign, I've found myself staring up at Virgo and Leo on many nights (Luke 21:28, anyone?). Guess how many stars I consistently see in Leo? You guessed it - nine. Put the astronomy software away and go see for yourself. If nothing happens on Saturday or within the next few weeks, then I guess most people will say it was nothing. I will still feel that it was something regardless.
Thanks! It also helps that my plumber is a Catholic in good standing. On Monday, I was resisting the impulse to water my houseplants. I kept feeling like I needed to water the houseplants. I really didn't want to. I keep a jug of room-temperature water under my sink, already mixed with plant food. When I reached in to get it, I learned that one of the connection hoses to my faucet was leaking a puddle under my sink. The Lord brought it to my attention just in time!!! It could have gone on for days before I would have noticed. The plumber said that I just caught it. So.....Maybe it was St. Vincent Ferrer who was nagging me to water my houseplants. The plumber ordered a new fixture for me. I can't understand why it will take from Monday to Friday to get the thing installed. Penance. Penance. Penance.
Yes, astrology is that. Those who believe in astrology believe that the planets and other heavenly bodies themselves and their alignments have some sort of "mystical" effect on human lives. There is no reference to God at all. What is being discussed here is the possibility of GOD, the Creator of the stars, planets, and us, giving us a sign using those very heavenly bodies that He created. They are two completely different things, IMO. Why did God let St. John see a "great sign" in the heavens involving the sun, moon, and stars? What was the Star of Bethlehem all about? If God chooses to give us signs using things in His creation, who are we to tell Him He shouldn't do that? Or why should we ignore them? And so if we see the same sign in our times that St. John saw in his vision and which he recorded in Sacred Scripture, maybe it is of great import. I think it is, anyway. Time will tell. In any case, it will be beautiful.
One of the 15 promises of the Blessed Mother to those who recite the Rosary is that we shall have as our intercessors the entire Celestial Court. I have a hard time wrapping my head around that!
Hey, he used something I wrote in one of his blog posts, but I'm not sure if that's a mark for him or against him ;-) https://www.romancatholicman.com/the-grid-of-grace-is-down-how-do-we-get-it-up-again/
Didn't I read an article recently that said it is quite interesting that an anomaly is occurring with Leo in this constellation. 3more stars have rotated in to everyone's amazement. Wish I could remember who said it.
AED, You may be referring to the fact that the Great American Eclipse of 8/21/17 occurred in Leo, The eclipse occurs in conjunction with Regulus, the "King Star". Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation Leo and Leo is one of the two constellations involved in the Revelation 12 Sign. The fact that this eclipse occurs in Leo, which will be part of the Great Sign the month after, is astonishing. It's like God's trying to fix our attention on the King and on the following month's Great Sign. I think that I missed the following coincidence until now, Also, a reader noticed that the eclipse crosses exactly 12 states and I verified the count to make sure. An eclipse across 12 states just one month before the Revelation 12 Sign that features a woman with a crown of 12 stars. http://www.unsealed.org/2017/06/the-divine-message-of-august-eclipse.html In addition to being one of the brightest stars in the sky and being known as the "king star", Regulus is also called "The Heart of Leo". This was also discussed on the following Catholic blog, http://thehirschfiles.blogspot.com/2017/08/the-great-american-eclipse-in-heart-of.html . The mention of the "3 stars" is related to the Great Sign itself occurring almost a month after the eclipse on 9/23/17. The "3 stars" are actually planets which are referred to as floating stars, in this case Venus, Mars and Mercury. OR You might be referring to the following reminder, of the coming Great Sign, IMHO which we received this Monday, September 18th when the same three planets; Venus, Mars and Mercury; slid behind the moon in an occultation. This particular occultation event had that added "bonus" of the moon also interrupting the light from Regulus which was not the case on 3/5/08 which was the last time that the moon slid past three planets within 24 hours when it was Mercury, Venus and Neptune, and the next time will be in 2036, according to EarthSky. I was also reminded of Garabandal because of this occurring on the 18th of the month which was a common occurrence for substantial events related to this apparition. This was discussed on that same Catholic blog I referenced above, http://thehirschfiles.blogspot.com/2017/09/signs-upon-signs-in-heavens.html?m=1 and also in the following article, http://archive.is/CdNKq .
You may be wondering why I am posting on this thread but I thought of something a little interesting. Of course, we do know that something very significant happened on 9/23, the Filial Correction. We also already know the following, that the birth of Jupiter actually appeared to have occurred on 9/9/17 which made the gestation closer to 42 weeks and we have the following scripture which states that the woman is in labor or pain after she gave birth, Isaiah 66:7-8 (DRA) 7 Before she was in labour, she brought forth; before her time came to be delivered, she brought forth a man child. 8 Who hath ever heard such a thing? and who hath seen the like to this? shall the earth bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be brought forth at once, because Sion (Israel) hath been in labour, and hath brought forth her children? Ok, here is what I noticed in the following scripture it states that after a woman gives birth to a male child that a purification will take place for 33 days and 33 days from 9/9/17 brings us to 10/12/17 the eve of the 100th Anniversary of Fatima. Leviticus 12:1-4(DRA) 12 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: If a woman having received seed shall bear a man child, she shall be unclean seven days, according to the days of the separation of her flowers. 3 And on the eighth day the infant shall be circumcised: 4 But she shall remain three and thirty days in the blood of her purification. She shall touch no holy thing, neither shall she enter into the sanctuary, until the days of her purification be fulfilled. I am not certain what it may mean if anything but the coincidence of the dates caught my attention and I wanted to share this with all of you. I suppose it is possible that the Church (the new Israel) is being purified now somehow and this purification will be completed on October 13th, 2017 (???).
Not sure There are things happening behind the scenes which may only come to light after the fact. However: I know that the hundred year anniversary is important not only because of Our Lady of Fatima, but I have felt strongly led to keep contemplating the significance of Pope Leo XIII's vision of the Lord granting Satan influence over the Church for 100 years. I feel that it was no accident that Our Lady came to Fatima when She did. Satan's hundred years are up. So yes , what next? By the way, this is apropos of nothing, but if you look up Pope Leo XIII you can find a video of a very ancient moving picture of him saying the Our Father (I think that was the prayer) He is right up there in Papal holiness .
Just checked The vision of Pope Leo was on October 13, 1884 Exactly 33 years before October 13, 1917!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, just that Jesus was 33 when he died I think and we were bandying about "33" days Plus I thought, up until recently, that satan's hundred years began shortly after Pope Leo's vision But from things I have read here and there, The hundred years coincidentally began with the visits of Our Lady in Fatima And now 100 years are up I do think October 13 is significant even if 33 years is not Pope Leo composed and imposed the prayer to St Michael after Mass Things really went to hell in a hand basket after those prayers were discontinued
I like your observation, Brian: A once-Christian culture that has rejected Christianity has been compared to Jesus’ parable of the return of an unclean spirit: “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” Matthew 12:43-45 Who can question that a spirit not seen since pre-Christian times has infested the West in the last century, and rages with demonic fury against Christianity, marriage, family and the Gospel of Life? After Fr. Richard Heilman quoted you, he describes how he remembers the Church many years ago: An image I often use to describe this is, “Power Grid of Grace.” There was a time, only 50 years ago, when we saw … Monasteries sprinkled across the country Brimming Catholic Schools everywhere Convents flourishing Homes filled with prayer and devotions Churches open all day as many made “chapel visits” Parish devotions, such as Holy Hours Amazingly reverent Masses everyday In turn, I'm reminded of one of the warnings of Our Lady of Good Success: "Woe to the world should it lack monasteries and convents! Men do not comprehend their importance, for, if they understood, they would do all in their power to multiply them, because in them can be found the remedy for all physical and moral evils... No one on the face of the earth is aware whence comes the salvation of souls, the conversion of great sinners, the end of great scourges, the fertility of the land, the end of pestilence and wars, and the harmony between nations. All this is due to the prayers that rise up from monasteries and convents. I hope that the prayer warriors on this Forum, those souls dedicated to living and praying in the Divine Will, the many Rosaries prayed by Catholics who honor Mary, and deacons and deacons-to-be who promise to pray the Liturgy of the Hours, may somewhat make up for this great loss! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us!
Fr. Heilman and I share the same memories And I thank you for posting this Plus the words of Our Lady of Good Success to explain why our churches are barren Nice work Brian K
