Who or what is the False Prophet? Well the False Prophet is the antecendent, the forerunner of the Anti-Christ. A bit like John the Baptist was the Prophet , the forerunner of Jesus Christ.

What might the False Prophet look like? Well I think we catch a trace of him in an extraordinary video of Nanci Pelosi doing the rounds; taken on Ash Wednesday. Look at her forehead.

So supporting grace evil like infanticide and the killing of the unborn becomes a good and Nanci has no problem receiving the Ashes or I suppose the Eucharist and priests and Bishops have no problem with letting her have them.

This is just SO wrong - this gives lukewarm Catholics such a bad idea that how she thinks may be acceptable in Catholicism! So so wrong...

I was watching part of a series on Amazon Prime about a public hospital in New. The series is call , 'New Amsterdam'.

It is totally Godless in the sense that God is never mentioned, not even in the passing. But all the people in the series appear to be very saintly, leading lives of heroic virtue in the service of others. It is very, very touchy feelly, personally I found it almost sickenly so.

The head of the Psychiatric Department is a good case in point. He is a homosexual, 'married' to another homosexual and they have adopted two Bangledeshi children. His self giving puts Mother Teresa to shame. His heartless and judgemental parent disapprove of his lifestyle puts Saint Mother Teresa to shame.

Apart from this there are no bad guys. Only secular saints. God is not needed everyone is constantly good, constantly saintlike. Constantly Godless.

    Brave New World.

It all rmeinded me so much of the Church of Mercy. Homosexual. Who am I to Judge? Cohabitating? Whats the problem? Divorced? I will accompany you.

We're all doing the best we can in the best of all possible worlds.

In other words. The False Prophet; preparing the way for anti Christ.

What would the False Prophet say if he could speak?

That there is no such thing as sin.

That there is no such thing as evil.

That there is no such thing as bad people, that people only make mistakes.

That we should be merciful to all even if they do not repent or even show the least sign of repenting.

That there is no such thing as hell.

That the ten commandments are no longer relevant.

That there is no such thing as miracles or the supernatural. other words everything we are being taught by the Vatican at the moment.

This is what we are being taught at the moment.

For instance that all religions are equal and the same.

Yes. I have to say much of this is very, very attractive indeed. Who would wish not to believe there is no final punishment, that there is no accounting, that we can do as we please? Who would not want to believe that man is himself God? That we can do exactly as we please? That everyone is good? That everything and everyone is getting better and better in every possible way.

It is the most wonderful and glorious fairy tale.

    Very,very attractive indeed.

Cooked up right down in hell of course and an utter and complete lie but wonderful on the ears.

This is what Our Lady said to Fr. Gobbi (Marian Movement of Priests) about all religions being equal:

"The attempt to bring together all religions, even those which adore false and lying gods, with the prospect of forming a world-wide religious union for the defense of human values, is vain, dangerous and not in conformity with the desire of my Immaculate Heart. It can on the contrary lead to an increase of confusion, to religious indifference and even make the attainment of true peace more difficult." #337, Oct. 27, 1986

This is the way of things. Have you read 'Lord of the World'? It is exactly this. St. Terese read it and condoned it.

Msgr. Benson was a bit of a mystic I believe. He nails it--especially having been written 1902.

Reminder - Ashes are more a sacramental, not a Sacrament. Some Protestants distribute in their churches.

So many are Catholics are culturally Catholic. I come across it all the time. People tell me it's ok to contracept, VII changed that, it's ok to eat meat during Lent, Church changes that, it's ok to co-habitate, Church changed that. Of course I always put in my rebuttals but the people that believe in those things still believe in them and present for Communion.

I wish people like Nancy would burst into flames when they receive Communion or receive ashes but they won't. If people did that, we would know who was a good guy and who was bad.

I have also wondered if we will recognize FP and ultimately the AC. I hope we will, or they will in the future.

What's funny about that show "New Amsterdam" is it is kind of sickening to watch. It is obviously Godless and the people are saintly, just as Padraig says. I have only watched a few episodes though. I find it hard to believe that people can be so "good" without God. Look at our culture. The West is expelling God and our societies are getting very dark, very evil. It doesn't follow that taking God completely away will make people better. Quite the opposite I think.

I had just been pondering about this after reading this passage in the bible:

    Numbers 16
“25Then Moses rose and went to Da´than and Abi´ram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

26And he said to the congregation, “Depart, I beg you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be swept away with all their sins.”

27So they got away from about the dwelling of Ko´rah, Da´than, and Abi´ram; and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the door of their tents, together with their wives, their sons, and their little ones.

28And Moses said, “Hereby you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been of my own accord.

29If these men die the common death of all men, or if they are visited by the fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me.

30But if the Lord creates something new, and the ground opens its mouth, and swallows them up, with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into Sheol, then you shall know that these men have despised the Lord.”

    31And as he finished speaking all these words, the ground under them split asunder;

32and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men that belonged to Ko´rah and all their goods.

33So they and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol; and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.

34And all Israel that were round about them fled at their cry; for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up!”

35And fire came forth from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men offering the incense.

Why does God not show His preferences like He used to?

    I have wondered similar.
I have also wondered a lot lately why there aren't a lot more healings of mind and body as there was in Jesus's time. Protestants suggest they can but often sound hokey. Where are the healing prophets of our time? Is there that much lack of faith keeping the Holy Spirit from these gifts from?

I've asked this question of a few priests before.
Mostly, the answers come to this - we don't need the miracles now in order to believe in Jesus, unlike the situation during Jesus' time.
    The answer fails to satisfy.
