Chuckled at the headline. There is no mass on Good Friday.

  2. Over a thousand at Good Friday. So many young families. Cause for great hope!

6 hours of Confession Thursday and Friday with multiple priests.

Ever notice there are more women than men at Masses, but three times as many men in Confession lines as women. Do women not consider it important to go to Confession?

The rebuilding of Notre Dame, and the opening mass that I watched live gave me great hope this year. Especially the beautiful bells that rang out across the country at the end. It was so powerful. The bells must have have stirred many souls for a renewal.

I had to wait and hour and a half to get to Confession last week. I've never seen a line that long since I was a kid and it was standard on a Saturday to see huge lines waiting .

  5. I tell you the Holy Spirit is working very powerfully. My sister was away from the Church for 50 years and has now gone back to Confession, Mass and even daily Mass.

A priest told me a funny thing years ago , I have no idea if it is true or not. I hope the ladies do not mind if I retell it. He said that when men go to confession they simply tell their sins get the blessing and go.

He said that when women come to confession they tell their sins then spent half and hour explaining how it was not not really a sin in the first place :D:D

On the other hand I used to love to count the number of women compared to men at Daily Mass every day in different Churches. I reckon about four to five to one of women.

On the other hand when men do take to religion they tend to go off like fire crackers. They take things with great, great seriousness.

Speaking of women; I was watching pictures of Spanish women today in the processions wearing the Mantilla. They looked gorgeous. But formidable. No nonsense.

  10. I saw even numbers of men, women and children when I was there. So glad there was confession available til 7 pm.

  12. Yep, number and kind (sins) in Confession. If God chooses to inspire the priest to ask more. then he will ask.

Wow. The green shoots are pushing through the dark soil. The long exile may be over. In the symbolic desert since 1966. Like the Israelites! Mother Mary is at work. Fr Ripperger said last year that during an exorcism the demon began to cry and howl that "He(Jesus) is coming to take away my power"
Fr R. Wasn't sure just what it meant but he felt it was significant.

  16. Just two weeks ago a guy at work that I hardly know told me how Jesus is showing signs to him...Things he couldn't explain away. I had never mentioned my faith life to him. He has not gone to Church in decades, and never believed, until now.

Mary is interceding. Her triumph is near.
