Sister's husband might get fired

My sister (57) just phoned (mid-afternoon here).

Her husband, Russell (59), is a railway (train) engineer.

He's been, at least twice in the past, suspended from work (and pay); once for a month, another time for three months.

She didn't say what the current trouble is, but he could again be suspended without pay ... or fired.

Sister resigned from her job months ago; that employer wasn't screening for COVID, and she was afraid of passing it onto our elderly mother. Sister also cares for her 38-year-old son who is bipolar and has panic attacks.

I'd hoped sister would find happiness and security in this her 3rd marriage. :(

Please pray Russell is not fired. Thank you.

I've been in the unenviable position of being fired and just recently, nearly given the boot as well. Prayers in a while.

    Thank you all.

To add to this: I spoke with her again later, when she told me she's bleeding (began this morning).

Sister is post-menopausal nearly five years, presumably due to the stress she's under.

Thank you, everyone. Sister hasn't updated me on this, and I'm reluctant to ask. I'll cautiously presume her silence means husband's job will remain intact (in this time of high stress, she's alternating between communicating versus total silence).

Just saw this DesertStar. I will add my prayers. I hope your sister is okay and she is getting her problem checked out, that could be serious.

Sometimes tough love is required. Maybe your sister needs to take a long hard look at her husbands way of life and choices he has made

Will mention this today, in case the days get ahead of me: Russell's employer will hold a meeting to decide his fate on the Wednesday the 23rd.

    Thank you again for praying.

    Hearing was held today.

A final decision has not been reached; however, Russell is still scheduled for work / on the payroll.

I'd presume if he were to be fired, it'd have happened today.

Sister is hopeful he'll avoid punishment (a month's suspension without pay) altogether.

Many thanks again for your prayers. (y)
