Beautiful My husband was Air Force and served on the West Coast in California, working on jets during the Vietnam War. His father was Army, WWII. Rest in peace, father in law.
National Cemetery, Grafton, WV We just got back a couple of days ago. We went to visit FIL grave. Prayed for the souls of veterans there. Some are buried with their wives. Everything is on a hill in that state. LOL
"Amost heaven West Virginia". It's nice that they allow wives to be buried by their husbands in these cemeteries. Hope your husband had a good Veteran's Day, my husband enjoyed his free meal at Olive Garden.
This is the only National Cemetery I have been in. If the wife is buried with the husband, her name is on the back of the stone.
My dad was also Air Force…well technicallyUS Army Air Corp b/c there was no Air Force in WW2. He was a pilate of B17 that on 13th. Mission was shot down. He was taken prisoner. On March back deeper into Germany (it was near end of war) he and 4 others escaped and made there way back to front lines. It’s a a great story. All written in an 8th Air Force historical account that I will have to share. God bless you dad. God bless all the men and women who gave it all and still give it all.
