] http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11045537 It was always intersting and prophetic to me that when Mary was sent from heaven to Medugorje in the greatest series of Marian Apparitions in Savation history she did so under the title of, Queen of Peace'...a clear indication to me that Mary was being sent from Heaven to prevent wars. By bringing peace, through prayer and fasting, firstly as individuals, then to families, communities, Nations and the entire world. Medugorje has been described by at least one of the Marian visionaries at Medugorje as a , 'Continuation of the Message of Fatima'..as well..as far as I recall as has Garbandal and Akita, were we have been warned of fire descending from heaven. Another aspect to war and lack of peace is that different visionaries have warned that war will come at a time when we least expect when the whole world will expect that peace has arrived. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11042430 Mary of course at Fatima warned that, if the world did not convert, 'Certain Nations would be annihilated. I think, like Mary we should , 'Store these things in our heart', and pray, pray pray.
Our Lady mentions Fatima in a very powerful message dated August 25th 1991 - interesting her choice of phrase - 'through the secrets I began in Fatima may be fulfilled'. There were 3 secrets at Fatima 1. Vision of Hell 2. World War Two 3. Angel with flaming sword/Pope suffering-killed/persecution: Perhaps the 3rd secret has not been fully realised yet because our Lady says 'the secrets I began in Fatima may be fulfilled' [in 1991 !] August 25, 1991 "Dear Children! Today also I invite you to prayer, now as never before when my plan has begun to be realized. Satan is strong and wants to sweep away my plans of peace and joy and make you think that my Son is not strong in His decisions. Therefore, I call all of you, dear children, to pray and fast still more firmly. I invite you to self-renunciation for nine days so that, with your help, everything that I desire to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima, may be fulfilled. I call you, dear children, to now grasp the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation. I want to save all souls and present them to God. Therefore, let us pray that everything I have begun be fully realized. Thank you for having responded to my call."
] At Garabandal, Our Lady spoke of the, 'End of Times' and many have wondered what this means. It appears to refer to a scriptural prophesy regarding the, , 'End of Nations' which the visionaries apparently witnessed in the, 'Night of Screams' Luke 21:24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. http://www.ourlady.ca/info/nightsofScreams.htm Of course the visionaries at Meduorje also appear to have witnessed the fulfilment of Luke 21:24 when shown one of the Secrets at Medugorje; '...the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled'; to which they reacted with equal horror. .and at the1973 Akita message “Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful'.

Boby, I came across a most interesting passage from the Holy Father on his recent visit to Malta in which he talks about the threat to world peace..he refers to 'reasons I have good cause to know about' that world peace is in danger. I suspect part of these reasons that Pope benedict refers too are involved with Marian apparitions.
