In reaction to the Pope’s visit to Canada, the Left, as usual, is going on and on about how evil the Church is, and how evil it is for Indigenous Peoples to receive the Gospel. I’ve long-since ceased to be bothered by the Left’s hatred for us, I pray for their conversion and that I, myself may have a Martyr’s zeal; in regards to the Indigenous Peoples with whom this visit is regarded, and all the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas; I pray that they hear the beat of Our Blessed Mother’s Immaculate Heart and be converted and saved.

But there has been another reaction to the Pope’s visit that has gotten me really angry, Protestants. Protestants online having been going around online shifting blame onto Catholics for all the suffering inflicted on Indigenous peoples; of the exact opposite is true, the vast majority of atrocities committed against indigenous was committed by Protestants and Classical Liberals, Catholic nations, by contrast have actually granted Indigenous peoples a lot of freedom and autonomy. In general I’m starting to get really irritated by Protestants, the Left’s hatred of us and vilifying of us as blood-thirsty medieval savages is something I can handle any day; but when I see Protestants show up and blasphemy Our Blessed Mother and call the Church evil, I just get sick of it.

Please pray for these people’s repentance and that I can better handle their blasphemies and filth in the future.

Most Protestants are liberals, I would think. Liberalism came from Protestantism. Unfortunately, our Pope is giving credence to their lies.

It is very galling RW. They would have no theology at all if it weren't for their anti-Catholic attacks on our beliefs. All reactionary--norhing genuine.

I think that the Holy Father went to Canada to give a platform so that the Church might be attacked more.

I believe he hates the Church more than anyone

I believe he set the Church up for attack, that this was his intention.

It may very well be that he is doing this in cooperation with other almost equally wicked people.

He does, people are very, very innocent if they suppose otherwise.

He is in total League with Satan.

This Canada thing was a huge set up to put the boot in as hard as he could put it .

I've been reading the diaries of Chinese martyrs and learned that when communism was taking over China, one of the ways they turned people against the Church was by falsely accusing Catholic children's homes run by (white, missionary) nuns of allowing scores of Chinese babies to die. They supposedly found "mass graves" of these dead babies. Those who knew the truth knew that A. the mass graves were greatly exaggerated, and B. the babies were mostly unwanted girl or sickly babies dropped off at the home already on the brink of death and could not be saved. Nevertheless, the slanderous accusations did their dirty trick: the Catholic nuns were driven out of China, the Church itself was tarnished, and the whole affair was used as fodder for persecution and eventual imprisonment of Catholics.

Reading that immediately made me think of the accusations in Canada. It's interesting how the communists play by the same handbook again and again. Another thing they're doing that they've done so many times before is taking land from farmers/landowners. It's playing out all over the world right now. It was done in the past under the pretenses of sharing the land more equally among the poorer class. Now the pretense is climate change. The true objective is the same: Control the food supply and cause famine. Let no one have any power or ownership other than the communist leaders.

As it always has before, it will not end well. As Christians, we need to hear the call to arms right now...which is to take up the rosary and devotion to the Holy Face. We must make reparation like never before. We will not win in any other way.

It's the same kind of set up.
Pope Francis and the Chinese Communists did the sweetheart deal because they both serve the same Satanic Lord .

Pope Francis, Beijing and Hell are all singing from the same hymn sheet.

The falsehoods against the Church in Canada were proved to be so yonks ago.

Pope Francis is pretending they were still true

    He is Satantic.

    They are Satanic

They're working together hand in glove

    It's a massive set up.

What Pope Francis is doing in Canada is the same kind of Bury them deep thing he did in China .

He knows exactly what he's doing him and the people or things he's working with

Canada was worth putting Work into to do the most harm to the Church they could

So he and they are doing it

It's just as simple as that.

I had a very bad feeling about the Pope apologizing to indigenous people. It is like pitting blacks against whites. No one in this era wants an apology, they want reparations or blood. I'm very afraid this will be the catalyst to the martyrdom we have been warned about. This apology tour will usher it in. Even if the Pope is wrong, the frenzy of the demons will want blood. It is the way of getting reparation for being pro life. Our Lady, Queen of Heaven pray for us. Jesus, help us.

What has really bothered me the most about all this is that there has never been any, at least public, mention of forgiveness by the leaders of those who were harmed. This is not the first apology, but there has never been a "Thank you, we now forgive". Some news reports from the CBC are already asking if the apology is enough.

It was actually the gov't that set up the whole system of residential schools, but it did not provide sufficient resources to those who were tasked with running them. My biggest beef with those who ran the schools was that they didn't send the children home when the necessary resources were not forthcoming, regardless of the law. The current PM's father was in gov't for some of the time, and one of his confreres, also a "catholic", was the minister of the dept responsible in the late '60's. He's still living and as far as I know he was not involved in any apology. And I can't help but wonder when the Queen will come over and apologize for the involvement of the Anglican church. (I won't even mention why most of my ancestors ended up in Canada, as far as that goes. Needless to say, they were not "colonizers")

It's a blatant attack on the Roman Catholic Church in Canada, and as Purple Flower mentioned, we need a great call to arms. Penance, reparation and an unwavering faith in God and His promises. It's very clear the hierarchy, for the most part, are not going to step up - we are on our own.

May Our Lady and St. Joseph protect us from the wolves.

Lord, You know all things. You know exactly who was harmed and by whom. The fact that evil was done only amplifies the obvious need for universal repentance and salvation. May the Holy Father not lose the opportunity to preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Where would anyone be without the atoning Blood? Where would anyone be without God's Mercy? Yes, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. What we all need is universal repentance.

Revive us, O Lord, how long? Hold not Your Mercy from us. How can any of us stand before you as a beloved child if your Mercy had not worked its wonder in our souls. Sanctify us in Your Precious Blood and embolden us to speak Truth!

The Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the Gospel!

The daily occurrences in the world always bring me to this verse:

But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?

We are in biblical times. We know what the bible says and we know what many great saints and mystics have said about the times we are in. We know the true church will be persecuted and be gone to the undergrounds. I fear (not in a bad way but in a fear of God way) we are entering these times very soon, but first comes the great mercy, then that door is shut. Pray for this great mercy and pray for strength and faith when you are put to the great test when this amazing act of mercy comes to you!

From theologians, several signs are to accompany the time period leading up to Judgement Day via Jesus upon His Return.

One concerns the Great Apostasy, which, in my experiences began flowering roughly 50 years or so ago.

We should and must indeed Ask and Ask God for His Mercy upon oneself/us ..
.. along with Praying for an amelioration of the Negatives which surely have already been coming and shall increase significantly come upon the arrival of AntiChrist in person.

    A great apostasy

As to this event St. Paul admonishes the Thessalonians (2 Thessalonians 2:3) that they must not be terrified, as if the day of the Lord were at hand, for there must first come a revolt (the apostasia).
The Fathers and interpreters understand by this revolt a great reduction in the number of the faithful through the abandonment of the Christian religion by many nations.
Some commentators cite as confirmatory of this belief the words of Christ: "But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?" (Luke 18:8). - Cath Ency.
