Too easy for too long. The Mass in Ireland w/Fr. Colm Power

I think it's too easy to blame others lack of courage for the situation we find ourselves in, when we own much of the blame. Fr. Colm hits the nail on the head here. Some good points made.

Irish Bishops Make an Interesting Discovery
    [IMG]
Ireland’s four archbishops have declared that Health Minister Stephen Donnelly “clandestinely” made attending daily and Sunday Mass a criminal offence punished with up to five years in prison.

They called for the suspension of the “draconian measure" describing it as a breach of trust, irishtimes.com (April 18) wrote. The Irish Church asks for an urgent meeting with Donnelly, seeks legal counsel, and requests “the suspension of this harsh and unclear statutory instrument.”

The measure was clandestine because the government signed the April 12 law without an announcement and put it into the statutes on April 13.

On April 14, this change was used against Libertas Party's Declan Ganley who is challenging the Irish Mass ban. A day later, the Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin met several bishops but didn't inform them about the anti-Mass law.

Only on April 16, the law became known when a Trinity College Law Professor posted it on twitter.com.

Deep Cleaning Isn’t a Victimless Crime
The CDC has finally said what scientists have been screaming for months: The coronavirus is overwhelmingly spread through the air, not via surfaces.

Last week, the CDC acknowledged what many of us have been saying for almost nine months about cleaning surfaces to prevent transmission by touch of the coronavirus: It’s pure hygiene theater.

“Based on available epidemiological data and studies of environmental transmission factors,” the CDC concluded, “surface transmission is not the main route by which SARS-CoV-2 spreads, and the risk is considered to be low.” In other words: You can put away the bleach, cancel your recurring Amazon subscription for disinfectant wipes, and stop punishing every square inch of classroom floor, restaurant table, and train seat with high-tech antimicrobial blasts. COVID-19 is airborne: It spreads through tiny aerosolized droplets that linger in the air in unventilated spaces. Touching stuff just doesn’t carry much risk, and more people should say so, very loudly.

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

And what is the bet people will be too scared to risk chancing another scientist coming out and contradicting this latest opinion. Sigh!

It surely is a mad, mad world.
