Many Saints and mystics have confirmed there will be an Anti-Christ before the Period of Peace, a prefigurement of the final Anti-Christ. Simon Magus and the Emperor Nero, beside Judas himself who the Lord calls the son of perdition, were also prefigurements of this son of perdition in Apostolic times. It is by prayer and suffering, by sacrifice and enduring the pains the sinful world that rebels against God causes His Faithful Children, like St. John and Mother Mary with St. Mary Magdalene at the foot of the Cross, that the Church must undergo Her own mystical Crucifixion before Her great Triumph. Like Our Lord Jesus Himself, if we bear all the sufferings God has destined for His Mystical Body rightly up to the end, offering them for the salvation of all, Mother Church will rise again and be rebuilt greater and more glorious than ever before.
