Would you all please pray for my hubby Bill as he's in hospital again, this time with something spinal causing sciatica so bad that getting up or down off a bed or couch(he can't sit at all) is excruciatingly painful like he's never experienced before. They had to get him up at the hospital and he was in agony, and shaking like he was in shock. It's been non‐stop lately. I always call on St Joseph and Our Lady... thanks
I've been going through a bad attack of sciatica lately, I know it's very painful. Praying, with a chaplet of mercy right now!

Ouch! I know that pain and the terrible helpless feeling. In my case it was a combination of arthritis in the spine and a prolapsed disc pressing on the sciatic nerve. It showed up in an MRI scan. The pain was so bad that they had to pause midway through the scan. The solution for me was removal of the disc. Please God, the solution for your husband will be as straightforward. I will surely say a prayer for him.
As someone who has his own issues with sciatica plus other spinal issues, I only know full well the chaos it causes. I'll bring you & husbands intentions to mass tomorrow. It is a trite message to say "stay strong" or words to the effect. I won't say that. All you can do is continue to be the supportive wife you've obviously been to you hubby. You also need to look after yourself because to be there for someone takes fortitude. Hopefully you find relief & space for yourself along the way.
So Bill has had degenerative disc disease. His L1 has been wreaking havoc on him for a decade and was the beginning signs but we didn't know till now. He's still in hospital but will likely be released tomorrow. He has to be able to manage the pain. I can't thank you all enough for your precious gifts of prayer and wisdom. Our Lady has formed such a wonderful group of friends here
