A prayer in the time of an approaching hurricane God of the Universe, at the dawn of creation, your Spirit breathed on the waters, making them the wellspring of all holiness. You created the oceans and rivers, and all that dwell within them, and at your word the wind and the waves were born. The seasons follow your plan, and the tides rise and fall on your command. In both calm and storm, you are with us. On the Sea of Galilee, even when the disciples began to fear, Jesus showed that he was Lord over the waters by rebuking the storms, so that all would know that even the wind and the waves obey him. Creator God, we ask you to calm the wind and the waves of the approaching hurricane, and spare those in its path from harm. Help those who are in its way to reach safety. Open our hearts in generosity to all who need help in the coming days. In all things and in all times, help us to remember that even when life seems dark and stormy, you are in the boat with us, guiding us to safety.
The flooding in Florida is just devastating. Parts of Georgia, and North Carolina are also under water. Many prayers for these poor people.
By accident I watched various Americans showing me how to make chicken coops on utube and also be accident I watched a lady show how to make Peasant (very simple) bread. It was touching because these people gave thanks to God and were so Godly. A storm does not pick and choose I hope good simple religious people like this do not get harmed. They reminded me of children. Poor, simple hard working country folks. The chicken coop and bread look excellent! Watch at the end how they all give thanks to God.
Fears that a dam could burst in North Carolina but it seems to be holding out at the moment https://www.local3news.com/local-ne...cle_e5b27b6c-7ce4-11ef-968a-4f4739d3ff5b.html
Thanks for posting this video. I really like this guy. Subscribed. He talks about all the things I love.
The stories and images posted on X from North Carolina are absolutely heartbreaking, May God help these poor people, so many lives destroyed and many souls lost. This was a catastrophic weather event never before seen in this area. The government has been slow to respond, so many good people are doing everything possible to provide aid to victims who are in isolated rural areas.
here it is Friday and people are still stranded in the hills and mountains. This is certainly the worst disaster to hit the US that I can remember. It is already worse than Katrina. God Help us and God help those in dire need.
Anthony Stein mentions relief groups with boots on the ground in North Carolina in a Return to Tradition YouTube ‘live’post today. He is citing a very recent review by the Lepanto Institute of legitimate and effective relief organizations there. This one is the sole Catholic charity that is not tainted, like the Red Cross, with pro-“family planning” assistance, and is actively assisting the disaster-stricken victims. Edit: the Sensus Fidelium YouTube channel is featuring their daily relief updates.
In Central Florida.... These hurricanes are certainly nothing new here, but obviously this one can potentially be a little bit worse. The coast will definitely get the brunt of it. And is very rare to have anything higher than tropical storm winds by the time it gets to the middle of the state (it did happen with Irma, though). However, we've gotten a lot of rain leading up to the storm, and flooding definitely is a precursor for tall pine trees falling-especially with some wind. The rosary has never lost its power though, and I can assure you it has being used by people to help us get through this one, just like it has many times. And I was telling my friend yesterday that if it's my time to go, let Milton blow me right up to Heaven . Appreciate the concern and the prayers.
