Hi friends, Once again - as in so many times in the past - I’m coming to our MOG family to request your prayers. Two weeks ago I fell HARD on my right rear hip on the cement floor of my workshop. I laid there for a minute to gather my wits and make sure I didn’t break anything. The pain has gotten worse since then, not better. I’m on two blood thinners since I had multiple strokes in 2016 so I suspect I have a big hematoma (deep large bruise or collection of blood) over the hip bone where I landed, and that hematoma is compressing the nerve roots on that side. Whenever I move wrong or use the gluteus muscles in the wrong way, my right leg gets severe electric shock type pain from my right groin clear down to my toes. This morning I was out moving my tractor and when I went to climb off my whole leg erupted in excruciating electric pain and I couldn’t move. It took me an hour to climb off then walk the hundred yards back to my trailer. I’m seeing my pcp this afternoon. But I would really appreciate some prayers for enough pain relief to drive myself to his office. Getting in and out of the car itself right now is quite difficult. Thanks all, Brian

May the saints and your guardian angel accompany you through the rest of today and tomorrow especially. O Mary conceived without sin, wrap Brian in your Mantle of Maternal love and intercession! Thanks Mario. Yes, that certainly weighs on one’s mind. Last night I stopped at the Adoration chapel on my way home and I specifically prayed that The Lord would keep me in one piece, since I have no family to fall back on in a real medical crisis. I was praying specifically about not having any more serious strokes or more heart issues. As I was driving home I had unusual pain in my right hip and groin. That’s odd, I thought. I don’t remember doing anything that would cause hip and groin pain. But when my leg exploded in pain today, the pain was my entire leg but included the same right hip and groin pain location, so I realized that too was from this nerve root irritation. I can live with pain. That’s become routine. And I can offer it up. But I pray, no more serious strokes.
May your Guardian angel stay very close to you and put you into the arms of Our Blessed Mother so you will be safe beyond measure. Are you getting enough potassium? Good for the heart and every cell in your body!

Praying to St Raphael tonight. Plus Our Lady of Lourdes. I see they say Christ's broken nose on the Turin Shroud came from when He fell carrying the Cross. This surprised me, I thought it came from when a guard hit Him during His interrogation in front of an illegal quorum of the Sanhedrin.
Thanks all! Just got back from my doctor. He prescribed a descending dose of steroids and agreed it’s probably a result of a hematoma from my fall two weeks ago. He called it piriformis syndrome. If it doesn’t respond to the steroids they can do injections and other fun stuff Just climbing in and out of the car getting to the PCP office 20 miles away then the pharmacy then back home and into my trailer has me in agony. Hope this dexamethasone knocks this out. This is brutal.
I was in physical therapy years ago for this and it never came back, thank God. Praying for you to have relief.
