I always wonder if there will ever be a Pope Leo XIV, it would be a good name for a Pope who wanted to start a restoration of the liturgy for example by bringing prayer back to Saint Michael at the end of the Mass.

Funny you should mention that..about the St. Michael prayer. Our Cardinal Collins (Toronto) asked priests to pray it at the end of every Mass about 2 years ago. So it is prayed here after each Mass. I guess I had assumed this was world wide. Its should be in these times. We really need his intercession.

I think that very few Bishops have requested that it be prayed at the end of Mass. If they did, they didn't publicise it. I have been to a few Masses where the priests managed to fit it in. One prayed it as he was cleaning the chalice after Communion.

I live in Brazil and here it is not recited at the end of the Mass (I always attended the rite of Paul VI).

Nope! I wish my Bishop would encourage this as well.

I live in British Columbia, Canada, and the St. Michael prayer is prayed at every Sunday Mass.

Maybe then it may have been decided at the conference of Canadian Bishops.
