We're on the same side and Michael Matt puts in beautifully in the short video below. Please watch he makes so much sense. Its only 9 minutes long. https://remnant-tv.com/video/995/divide-the-clans-here-s-how-francis-wins-?channelName=RemnantTV
Michael, I hope you don’t suppose to know what I consider. God bless you. I don’t want to get in a give and take with you.
Your conclusion: .They (Ann's assertions) had logic and reason behind them that were hard to dismiss. I have to agree, especially as the years have begun to pile up, and the number of rebellious bishops increase with little or no pushback from the Vatican; rather, many are even made cardinals. The next assertion that Francis is not even Pope is a hurdle for me, though I do agree it is a much lower hurdle. Let's say you are correct. If so, would the plurality bishops he has appointed be revoked? If so, how will that come about? I would dare say that most of them support the democratization and assault upon the Church which has been underfoot. Who will rise up to upend their usurpation? We are so deep into this that only a rattling of conscience by Divine Intervention can save us. Yeah for the dubia that were presented, yet so easily set aside. Despair is useless. How than can a reversal take place? Is the pushback from the Remnant and Lifesite News the key? To the degree that they rouse prayer warriors, yes! For the secret lies in Genesis 18. We may seem to be few, but let our prayers remain fervent! 24 What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? 25 Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”26 The Lord said, “If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.” 27 Then Abraham spoke up again: “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes, 28 what if the number of the righteous is five less than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five people?” “If I find forty-five there,” he said, “I will not destroy it.” 29 Once again he spoke to him, “What if only forty are found there?” He said, “For the sake of forty, I will not do it.” 30 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?” He answered, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” 31 Abraham said, “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?” He said, “For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.” 32 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.” Let us prostrate ourselves and raise our heartfelt prayers that the faithful bishops will rise to the challenge! The Lord will not desert His Bride!
But his bride will have to pass through her passion, just as he endured. Really we should rejoice that God is allowing us to follow him and have some share in his sacrifice. Yes, after the final unleashing of evil, Jesus returns to rescue his bride. Pray, pray, pray!
You are very lucky to have had such devout nuns to teach you the chatecism. I was taught an incredibly watered down faith. And what my kids learn at CCD is the same as what I was taught.
The Baltimore Catechism is what I was taught. It’s available online to purchase, I think. Yes, Jo had the best religious education possible!
Yes, His Bride will pass through her passion. But it is not a "passion" or "sacrifice" to continue to go-along-and-get-along with the prophesied arch-heretic and destroyer of the Church. You are called by your baptism and confirmation to confess Jesus against those who would "dissolve" him (1 John 4:3). A true "sacrifice" would be to stand up to that evil and accept the consequences. Instead, some defend the man who teaches evil and call him "the Pope." His Bride is made up of those who love Jesus and His teachings and are willing to die to defend those teachings. It is the "Harlot," on the other hand, that is made up of those who say "Lord, Lord" but, at the same time, "consent to iniquity" (2 Thessalonians 2:11) because they are lovers not of the Truth but rather are lovers of "the world."
All in all. I will not leave the church… whether the pope chooses to or not. We must remain in the faith. And pray that we are blessed enough to have a preist near us that does the same.
That is the abbreviation for chatechism class. My children attended catholic school until 6th grade, at that time th only option for us was to send them to school 40 min away. So we have joined public school. Which means they attend CCD once a week.
You are absolutely correct, non sum dignus. You remind me of my favorite verses from St. Paul's writings: Philippians 3:10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that if possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
Yes, of course. We must not leave the Holy Catholic Church. One challenge will be to know where the Church is. An old saying goes: "The Church is where the Pope is." This leaves us in the dark since 31 December 2022. Yes, I agree - we have to ensure to have a priest near us who sticks to tradition, whilst avoiding sects. The main challenge will be to decide whether to stand up to evil, or to wait until other people do it. This is quite similar to the "vaccination" campaign: I kept quiet, ducked away, not very courageous. Finally, as protests began, I went to our capital to join them.
And so how do we combat this evil? I choose Our Lady's plan. Prayer... When ever possible...Regular Confession, Daily Mass, at least a half hour of mental prayer, reading scriptures and the doctors of the Church, the rosary, Adoration, the Office. Fasting...as a Carmelite I am to abstain from meat always, and fast (1 meal, 2 snacks) everyday except Sundays and Solemnities for about 1/2 the year. Avoiding all unnecessary pleasure, control and possesions (including non-physical) in a spirit of asceticism. And love of God and neighbor. We are not able to accomplish anything apart from God. We can only join in his sacrifice, doing "the little" that we can, and beg for his mercy.
Your idea about prayer, fasting, sacraments is very good. Anything else? How did you combat the vaccine evil? Did you do anything practical, besides prayer? For example, joining demonstrations. Here, this actually worked. Although they tried to smear us in the media, they backed off with their crazy plans. Don't get me wrong - I am not saying we should actually do anything practical. Ann Barnhardt says that. I am not sure what to do. God bless!
I know you are asking with good intention, so this is not a slight...Martha always asks why Mary is not doing something "active". The contemplative Carmelite charism, when properly understood, calls for one's entire life, down to the smallest action, to be lived for the glory of God. As St. Therese writes in her offering, even each beat of her heart was for him. Can you agree, that say, contemplative nuns such as Therese, hidden away in a cloistered convent, perhaps do as much, if not more than one of us, for the spiritual health of the Church? If so, then perhaps you would also consider that not every Catholic must be outwardly prominant in their fight for the heart of the Church.
It’s going to be subtle. Pope Francis is doing it slowly. The secular media is helping him. What matters is that he has confused the entire world. And that in itself is typical of a revolutionary Marxist. All we can do is pray, pray, pray, and fast.
Definitely! There isn’t any comparison. That’s why faithful devout bishops will ALWAYS strive to support cloistered orders within their dioceses, and if they have none, they’ll recruit them to start one. They are the spiritual nuclear reactors of the Church. You are correct. Not everyone is called to open public Catholic activism. Many (most?) are called to a hidden life of prayer and holiness and abandonment to the Divine Will and His Providence. But just by joining in a devout Catholic forum like this, or saying “the hard word” kindly and dispassionately to family and friends on various social media, we are indeed “doing more” than just living a hidden quiet life of abandonment to His Will and Providence. Some even go so far as to “do more” in person, engaging Catholic activism not just digitally but out in the “real world.” And it’s possible to do both - live a hidden quiet faithful life one day, and be personally physically engaged in full on Catholic activism the next. None of us have all the answers. I’m way out in left field myself and I’m sure I’m absolutely incorrect on many of these issues just as often as I get something half right. But if a person were so obsessed with always being right or correct, he would be frozen into inaction at the fear and loathing of being proven wrong, and never do anything at all. All of us have different talents and faults, and different callings. We can’t look down our noses at others whose callings are different than our own. The faithful called to in person Catholic activism (backed up by prayer and a devout life) mustn’t look down their nose at the hidden contemplative. The hidden contemplative must not look down their nose at those called to “do something!” We’re all members of the same team, the same clan, the family of Christ.
