    INFLATION!

The slow, but steady sapper, of avoiding being dependent on the State! The assault against our freedom is multi-dimensional!

    Lord have Mercy!

Thanks, Don. Any tips from Argentine will only help in the short-term. What is unique about the Dollar's woes is that destabilization will lead to the collapse of the dollar as reserve currency of the world. Currently, we can keep printing dollars because internationally other nations need dollars to trade. Though we still may have a military, economically we will be a second rate power due to our insurmountable debt. As soon as the Powers-that-be have a digital currency ready they will pull the plug. This will prove devastating, far worse than the Carter years.

Remember the old pictures of Germans using wheelbarrows of paper marks to start their fires at home in the 1920's; that's because they were worthless. It is very probable that the dollar will collapse soon so that a new digital currency will be set up for trade. It is virtually impossible for any American under 80-yrs-old to conceive of this because the USA has been "Boss" since World War II! Still, this must happen for a true world economy to emerge. If I was to guess, this currency implosion will probably occur this coming year (before the election), but I figure no later than the spring of 2023.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

If we do retract the money supply it will cause stagflation all over the world, if we don't then hyperinflation and it won't just be us who feel the pinch either way. Many places lending is much harder to obtain than the US at present.
Wars have broken out over much much less. My Great grandfather lost everything he managed to escape Europe with at the turn of the century on my mothers side. Thankfully, his home was paid for so he didn't lose quite everything.

Mario, Do you believe that the inflation that is occurring in the US currently could be related to Maria Esperanza's statement about Venezuela - that it will be begin here (meaning Venezuela). I was typing this while I was listening to the video above and I thought of Venezuela before Turcker mentioned it at the end of the video. Good job Tucker and thank you for posting this Mario.

    Ref:

In 2015, the inflation rate was 181%, again the highest in the world and the highest in the country's history at the time. The rate reached 800% in 2016, over 4,000% in 2017, and about 1,700,000% in 2018, and reaching 2,000,000%, with Venezuela spiraling into hyperinflation.

A few months ago I felt that God that kept reminding me of a 7th/8th grade friend of mine from South Vietnam. My parish sponsored her family and her cousin's family who was also my classmate. Her family was temporarily staying in the rectory and she invited me to meet her parents one afternoon after school. Her dad left a huge impression on me about communism when he showed me a stack of money (bills) that were no longer worth more than the paper that they were printed on. He actually gave me a few of them which I still have. It was very eye-opening for me and although I didn't fully understand all that they had been through I did get a small sense of it at that moment.

Does this mean that people with a lot of money are buying bitcoin as a safeguard against inflation? Isn't gold their normal their usual safe haven? Has gold increased in price?

That's the downside of owning lots of money. Figuring out how to keep it secure and hold its value must cost them a fortune in financial advisers. And then they can't be guaranteed that the advisers will always be right. Maybe I shouldn't buy any more Euro Millions tickets.

I remember an interesting article I read within the last month that shows historically that gold is a go-to in unstable times whose value has risen in times when the S&P has crashed (though in 2008 gold suffered initially). Gold has remained relatively stable in the last decade (though down around 8% since its last high). But it is overall a stabilizing asset which in the long run protects one's nest egg. One usually doesn't go to it to make a fortune.

I don't understand bitcoin and I feel overwhelmed immediately when thinking about money matters like inflation and hyperinflation.. Yet I feel a deep sense of calm and peace when I choose to leave our finances and future in God's hands. We've never had more or less than we need, it seems... God always has provided right when we need it. Perhaps in the near future we will find we need far less than we could have imagined, but I do believe God will still be right here providing for us.

I don't have much money and rely on God.

But if I did have money I would purchase Gold and Silver.

They still are at reasonable prices at the minute and are much more secure than Bitcoin.

I believe they are deliberately using lockdowns and excessive printing of money to collapse the economies to drive the world into a Great Reset.

They will get rid of fiat currency and replace with digital.

Their aim is to have a cashless society = control.

This is not good news, and as usual the poor are first in line to feel the effects of this.

But oh, how I wish that in response to rising prices, citizens throughout the world would get rid of their smartphones, smart TVs and cancel their monthly subscriptions for both. If everyone did that, what a different world we would have. Deploying global robots and managing the population is virtually impossible without the use of all this tech to track everyone and certainly implementing the digital passports would be very hard. But I guess this will never happen...

It really is a time to pray and trust. I don't fully understand or trust digital currencies either. As long as you can't use bitcoin or others to purchase the basics like food and shelter costs what is the point of them? People like to call it a store of value and maybe it is but governments and world leaders are never going to accept these as true currencies since they can't collect taxes on them. IMO these will disappear just like anything else that doesn't really exist.

If grocery stores, heat and hydro companies, every related living expenses accept bitcoin I'll be proven wrong.

I'm 5 1/2 years from planned retirement but can't see it happening if our money and pensions disappear. This is the true test of faith. God didn't promise and easy life or no suffering, keeping eyes on eternity in Heaven must be the goal.

I think that in Germany it is possible to buy gold pieces from a vending machine. If I had the money, wanted to buy gold and could travel to Germany, I would probably buy from one of those machines. I remember that the price of gold was in the news a few years ago, perhaps during the financial crisis. It was very confusing, but the best sense I could make from it was that sometimes all they have to show for their money is a certificate showing that they own some gold in another country. What use would that be in an emergency if you needed to exchange some of your gold for essential supplies?

Bitcoin is is complete mystery to me. I do think, however, that if a lot of extremely wealthy people were to start investing in Bitcoin it could be a harbinger of some kind of major change in financial systems.

I am just seeing your comment Byron. Yes I suppose you're right, it could happen at some point, maybe after the Warning. But I meant to say that people won't do early when it can make a difference to the evolution of things.

I tend to think that God will allow transhumanism to evolve at least for a while because of His utmost respect for our liberty and also because it's our own chastisement. We are all responsible for having allowed this hell to evolve thus far and should to some degree experience the consequences of our actions. To be subject to transhumanism would be an "advanced" (in evil terms) form of slavery and hell on earth, but that is what life here is without Him. It would be dangerous spiritually I think to presume that God won't allow this or that horror especially when it is of our own making and we haven't repented enough.

It marked ne to learn in the books of Maria Valtorta that many families who went towards the Holy Family in Bethlehem after the shepherds evangelized about the angel and birth then turned on them and refused to accept that Jesus could have been the Messiah because they believed that God could never have allowed a massacre of innocents to happen. So they believed they had been duped and there was no way that Child could have been the Messiah because the Messiah was supposed to bring Peace and Triumph for Israel. The people of Bethlehem remained hostile to Him for this reason, but they obviously never considered the consequences to them of rejecting a roof to the Messiah and His Most Holy pregnant Mother and Just Father, which is what many residents of Bethlehem had done. Had they welcomed the Holy Family, events could have been quite different...
