So many panicking now ahead of Justice Ginburg's replacement. Do they know something about her real whereabouts that we don't?

Planned Parenthood, ACLU Push Illinois to Make Abortion Fundamental Right

The Illinois chapters of Planned Parenthood and the ACLU are pressing the state legislature to pass several bills that would make partial birth abortion legal in the state and equate choosing to end the life of an unborn baby with health care.

With a Democrat super-majority in the Illinois legislature and Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker – who said his goal is to make his state “the most progressive in the nation” when it comes to abortion – four lawmakers are introducing bills that would repeal most restrictions on abortion and make the procedure a fundamental right.

“The time is unquestionably now,” Connell said, adding:

Both because of what’s happening nationwide with President Trump and his two successful nominations to the Supreme Court, as well as what’s happening in some of the surrounding states in which abortion and birth control continue to be singled out for really punitive treatment and continued marginalization of women’s health care. And that marginalization of women’s health care is wrong and dangerous.

Modeled after a bill signed into law by New York Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the Illinois Reproductive Health Act would include removal of any criminal penalties for abortionists; repeal of the Partial Birth Abortion ban on third-trimester abortions; compelling private insurers to treat abortion just as contraception and maternity care; and repeal of a law that allows a husband to get an injunction to stop his wife’s abortion of his baby.

Another bill would allow minor girls to obtain an abortion without parental consent and without the requirement to obtain approval, in that case, from a judge.

Connell said the requirement of a judge’s approval for abortion for young pregnant girls is unnecessary and creates more stress.

“It has served no purpose except to burden the court and cause a lot of anxiety for minors who at the end of the day are found competent to make their own decisions and have an abortion,” she said.

According to a press statement released by the ACLU of Illinois, Democrat state Rep. Emmanuel ‘Chris’ Welch, who is sponsoring the bill in the Illinois House, said, “It never made sense to me that a minor can make other decisions – about carrying a pregnancy to term, about adoption, about sophisticated health care – without parental notification, but only if she seeks an abortion do we require this communication.”

Democrat state Sen, Melinda Bush who will lead the effort to pass the Reproductive Health Act in the state Senate, said, “We know that there is a movement today to limit access to reproductive health care. We want to reflect our values in Illinois and trust women.”

However, in a Facebook post, Mary Kate Knorr, spokesperson for Illinois Right to Life Action, said the proposed legislation is “consistent with pro-abortion bills that we have seen across the country, and are part of a national attempt to solidify abortion access in the event that Roe v. Wade is overturned.”

“To be frank, these legislators are over-playing their hand,” she added. “This legislation is extreme and polling over many years has shown very clearly that such legislation is unpopular with the American people. Legislators will suffer the consequences of voting for these bills in future elections.”

Taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood – which profits from abortion – obtains at least 35 percent of the U.S. abortion market, a figure that well overtakes the market shares of leaders in other industries, reported the Charlotte Lozier Institute in 2017.

In January, Planned Parenthood President Dr. Leana Wen confirmed that abortion is her organization’s “core mission.”

In a statement in the ACLU press release, Liz Higgins, associate medical director of Planned Parenthood of Illinois, said, “abortion is extremely safe, and the current laws only limit the ability of qualified medical professionals to provide safe, legal abortion.”

“Planned Parenthood and our partners are not going to let this become a country where people can no longer access abortion,” she said. “We will do everything we can to ensure patients have more access to critical health care and that policies reflect what people want.”

However, a recent Marist poll showed 75 percent of Americans want substantial restrictions on abortion, including 60 percent of Democrats and 61 percent of those who identify as pro-choice.

I’m praying that the pro abortion gang has overplayed their hand.
Polls show that the country overwhelmingly rejects their horrific late term abortion bills being rush into law. They rightfully fear of a prolife justice replacing Ginsburg. Praying that she is replaced soon!
This is why presidential elections are so important . The legislature can pas any laws they want...but the Supreme Court ultimately decides what remains law.
Hopefully our nation will reject the radical extreme left that the democrats have embraced.
Even lifelong democrats, liberals...and even some atheists are opposed to the democrats on their murdeous abortion legislation! And now on their new “green deal” radical policy as well.

Just who is writing the opinion these days for RBG? Her vote had to be included in that latest abortion negative ruling to which CJ Roberts contributed in order to make it that 5/4 ruling. Although it was reported that a celebration of her life was held at a museum w/ descriptions and statements, no one, w/ all the iPhones present wanted to take a pic!! And if she IS walking a mile a day and returning to her therapy/training where is she? and why isn't she back at the Court where all she does is sit and fall asleep...and this was prior to this latest health problem. Are they keeping her "on ice" until more States conclude their abortion extreme laws literally written in blood?

And where is the Chief Justice, Roberts, during this obvious prolonged absence....esp. at least a truthful report on one of his justice's health through actual contact? If he contributes to any hoax due to some compromise the "powers" have forced him into could this be the scandal that is mentioned in the "Trump Prophecies" of Mark Taylor that will take out a couple of Justices for replacement?

If I read that article correctly, they are saying the Ginsburg is working remotely....?

And what is going on with appears that he is compromised. He should resign if he is being coerced....and imho....something/someone got to him....and it started with the Obamacare ruling.

Yes, remote working is permitted but I don't know how long that is permitted.....forever? It's the secrecy and seeming cooperation of the media, once again, w/this that is scary. Why is it that RBG can attend an entertainment venue w/ many in attendance, walk a mile each day, (the paparazzi must know where) and do her exercises w/ trainer but cannot show up at the court? And no pics anywhere of this for proof?

The reports "out there" are that there was a rather circuitous and possibly illegal road to the adoption of Roberts' two children....from Ireland...since Ireland didn't/doesn't? permit foreign adoptions. Obama's modus operandi was/is to get all dirt possible on those most important to him to control w/ blackmail.....thus a switcheroo by Roberts to finding some kind of opening to make Obamacare somehow legitimate, i.e. legislating from that highest bench.

Ohhh ...I agree on both counts! Everyone is asking where Ruth is!
Funny how she’s getting the hands off treatment from the libs in the corrupt press!

The First Lady is routinely hounded about her whereabouts....and she holds no office whatsoever.

    But we know why.....

I didn’t know about the Ireland adoptions..
But I always though it was about protecting his there was a threat.
He should have resigned then...or at least now...if it’s true and he has any conscience left.

Another one. Remember....Obama ran for IL State Senator on promising partial birth abortion. The title "demon-crats" seems to be quite fitting these days.

CULTURE OF DEATH: Illinois Democrats Move To Lift Ban On Partial Birth Abortion – End Parental Notification

Illinois is taking extreme measures to ensure women are free to slaughterer…abort their babies, even when they’re partially born.

If you think New York and Virginia abortion laws are radical, then you haven’t been to Illinois in a while.

The newly elected, Governor JB Pritzker, has promised to make Illinois the abortion capital of the world, and he’s making good on his word.

Illinois Democrats propose laws expanding abortion access — including repeal of parental notification for minors

The synopsis of the bill is a horror show all on its own.

    Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Reproductive Health Act. Provides that every individual has a fundamental right to make autonomous decisions about one’s own reproductive health. Provides that every individual who becomes pregnant has a fundamental right to continue the pregnancy and give birth or to have an abortion, and to make autonomous decisions about how to exercise that right. Provides that a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent rights under the law, of this State. Provides prohibited State actions. Provides that a party aggrieved by a violation of the Act may bring a civil lawsuit. Provides that a health care professional shall report each abortion performed to the Department of Public Health. Limits home rule powers. Repeals provisions regarding abortion in the Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center Act, the Sexual Assault Survivors Emergency Treatment Act, and the Injunction Article of the Code of Civil Procedure.

this next line is a real gem:

Repeals the Illinois Abortion Law of 1975, the Partial-birth Abortion Ban Act, and the Abortion Performance Refusal Act.

That means doctors and medical facilities can be sued for NOT performing an abortion. You have a religious objection to abortion? Too bad Dr. Mohammad! You better suck that fetus out or you’re through!

Makes corresponding changes in the Children and Family Services Act, the Counties Code, the Medical Practice Act of 1987, the Vital Records Act, the Criminal Code of 2012, and the Rights of Married Persons Act. Amends the Freedom of Information Act. Provides that information and records held by the Department collected under the Reproductive Health Act is exempt from inspection and copying. Amends the Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center Act. Provides that that term “ambulatory surgical treatment center” does not include any facility in which the performance of abortion procedures is limited to those performed without general, epidural, or spinal anesthesia. Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides insurance requirements for the coverage of abortion. Makes corresponding changes in the State Employees Group Insurance Act, the Health Maintenance Organization Act, and the Voluntary Health Services Plans Act. Amends the Nurse Practice Act. Provides that operative surgery does not include abortions performed without general, epidural, or spinal anesthesia, and other gynecological procedures related to abortions. Amends the Environmental Act. Provides that tissue and products from an abortion or miscarriage may be buried, entombed, or cremated. Effective immediately.

Safe. Legal. Rare. Oh well. One out of three ain’t bad.

It's got to be high on the list for crime and violence so why not top the world list for murder. Because abortion is murder plain and simple.

Ya know, I used to laugh at people talking about the Zombie Apocalypse. Maybe we are witnessing this right now in this country. Seems unbelievable people can't see something is just plain wrong.

    Yes Tanker....

How can anyone not see the humanity in a baby? There is no question that the child they are killing is a person...a innocent baby. You know Satan is for real when society allows this....and in NY, it is celebrated. Cuomo, if he doesn’t repent, will be meeting Satan when he leaves this world.

They say that abortion is Satan’s sacrament....politicians and abortionist are worshiping at Satan’s altar. There is absolutely no way to sugar coat this atrocity. They are modern day Hitlers. If we don’t fight this, we too are complicit.

Our nation will be held accountable to God for this crime against humanity.

Yay KY! (where I grew up)'s not perfect yet but trending in that direction at least .... compared to other places:

Kentucky Senate Passes Fetal Heartbeat Abortion Ban

The Kentucky Senate voted 31–6 Thursday to advance legislation that would ban most abortions once a fetal heartbeat can be detected — usually six or seven weeks into pregnancy.

Earlier in the day, a pregnant woman allowed a committee that reviewed the bill to hear the heartbeat of her unborn baby via an electronic monitor, reported the Associated Press.

April Lanham — a supporter of the legislation, who is 18 weeks pregnant — said she hoped her baby’s heartbeat would be a “powerful noise” for lawmakers to hear before voting on the bill.

    “Every life matters,” she said.

“That child in her womb is a living human being,” said Republican State Sen. Matt Castlen, the bill’s sponsor. “And all living human beings have a right to life.”

Nicolle Stipp — who has had an abortion — said during the committee hearing that she opposed the bill, reported WDRB.

“Think about these laws that put a boot on my neck and would force me to have a child when I’m not financially ready for one and when I don’t have the premium health care to bring one into this world safely,” she said. “Your laws — these laws, this bill — are just making our state worse, stamping your boots on the necks of working women.”

However, Claire Culwell — who survived an abortion attempt by her mother — said, “My rights were just as important as my birth mother’s.”

“My heart beat just as loud as hers,” she continued. “I deserved a chance at life just like any other unborn baby with a beating heart in the womb.”

The bill now heads to the Kentucky House.

Abortion rights advocates are warning of lawsuits should the legislation become law.

“Each of you took an oath to uphold the Constitution,” Kate Miller of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Kentucky told the Senate committee. “This law is patently unconstitutional. The second it is signed, the ACLU of Kentucky will file a lawsuit. And much like the other laws you have passed, we expect that you will be held up in litigation unsuccessfully for years.”

State Senate President Robert Stivers, a Republican, responded by saying, “Who sits on the Supreme Court determines what’s constitutional or not.”

Most recently, Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, a Republican, filed a brief on February 6 in the Louisville abortion clinic transfer agreement case currently before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Planned Parenthood and another abortion clinic filed a lawsuit claiming a Kentucky state law that required abortion clinics to have transfer agreements with local hospitals and ambulances in case of emergencies created an undue burden on the right to abortion.“The [transfer agreement] statute and regulation do not constitute an undue burden on the right to an abortion,” the brief stated. “The Commonwealth has a valid interest in protecting the health and safety of abortion patients.”

    The brief continued:

The record shows that transfer and transportation agreements benefit patients. The only emergency medicine physician to testify in this case testified at length about the benefits of transfer agreements, and even the National Abortion Federation recommends that abortion facilities have such agreements. If the Commonwealth cannot enact such beneficial requirements, then it is not clear what it can do to protect the health and safety of abortion patients.

A recent Marist poll showed 75 percent of Americans want substantial restrictions on abortion, including 60 percent of Democrats and 61 percent of those who identify as pro-choice.
