From what I have read Queen Elizabeth II had pronounced anti Catholic tendencies earlier on in her Reign. I suppose that was inevitable, she would have been brought up/educated that way in order to bolster her support of the Anglican Sect. But I think as time rolled by she got over all this. Bad as things our in the Church at the moment in the Church they are a total , total horror picture with the poor Anglicans. A scene out of hell. A warning to us as to what we might be become.
QEII might have been more militantly Protestant earlier in her reign, but in 1967 Anglicanism was still quite Christian (as it continues to be in Africa) and most English people of voting age would have still had traditional morals. Abortion would still have been almost wholly unacceptable to Anglicans at this time, but she made no real objection and I think it's plausible that the precipitous decline of the Anglican Church might be traced directly from that inaction of its symbolic leader. If the leader of a Christian sect blithely accepts legalised abortion, this sect, at least in the jurisdiction where the legalisation took place, could no longer be considered a serious one, but rather the object of mockery that it has become. Bark raving mad.
I researched and found an article that explains who this "apparently shadowy" figure is. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/uk-news/identity-king-charles-iiis-coronation-26890749
Can anyone tell me if Edward VIII—the king who resigned to marry a divorced woman—left descendants? I looked for this information and couldn't find it anywhere.
He and Mrs Simpson had no children. His younger brother became King George VI after his abdication and then, after his death, his daughter Queen Elizabeth II became Queen.
I think that because of this resignation, no English king will adopt the name "Edward" in the future, when he takes the throne.
Thomas Kingston, Lady Gabriella‘s husband and Pippa Middleton‘s ex-boyfriend, has died. He was 45. Kingston died in Gloucestershire on Sunday, with emergency services called to the scene shortly after 6 p.m. The cause of death is still undetermined. While an inquest will be done to find the cause, there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. Gabriella, 42, is the daughter of the Prince Michael of Kent, the late Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin. https://nypost.com/2024/02/27/enter...ppa-middleton-ex-lady-gabriella-husband-dies/ latest news from the British Royals...
As with all thing Royal and media fake news who knows if this is true. But definitely strange days when it comes to Royals. But FWIW, rumors now in many even msm outlets that they have been alerted a a major announcement in next few days. https://www.forbes.com/sites/anafag...eton-news-remain-unconfirmed/?sh=1470a1354d07
I have been following this. Who knows why? But I am. Strange things. Rumors and innuendo. Perhaps Charles is gravely ill. Or maybe Princess Catherine. I have prayed for both of them.
Queen Elizabeth was their centre. It reminds me of a lot of families. When the parents die everything dies with them. The parents were the glue.
I think that Charles and William must be very careful. There are internal family disputes. And some of the members are quite rogue. They better watch their backs. Praying for Catherine’s health.
Prayers for Princess Catherine's recovery. It was just announced that she is undergoing chemotherapy for cancer that was discovered following her recent surgery.
