Katie, bar the door! A young girl by the name of Katie was quietly sitting in the corner of her Father's House, praying her Rosary. Suddenly, she heard a loud and urgent call: "Katie!!! Quick now, bar the door!" Startled beyond imagination, she gathered herself together and ran with all her might towards the main door. When she arrived, she met a loathsome sight; the door was already barred. A terrible creature had made its way into the House. It stood boldly in front of the door, having itself barred the door. There was no way out. Saddened by the sight, she slowly wandered back to her little corner, Rosary in hand, wondering how that loathsome creature managed to gain entrance. She knew there were plans in place; plans to open some windows to allow for a fresh breeze to blow through. Something appeared to have gone terribly wrong...... That hideous creature stayed at the door, never moving, slowly letting all manner of ugliness into the beloved House. While she wept at what she saw, she knew she had to stay put. The Good Mother always said to stay put, that the Father would take care of the House and She Herself would take care of Katie. Katie believed this with all her heart, so she stayed. She grieved for the ones who gave up. The hideous creature allowed them to leave, in whatever manner suited them. It was pitiful that hope was abandoned by so many....It appeared to Katie that few stayed with the Good Mother, and the creature never stopped inciting confusion among those who stayed. Katie wondered how much longer she herself would survive under such terrible conditions. Katie was unaware of the antechamber attached to the House. Faithful came and went from outside the House, bringing good news and bad news alike. The battle started by the hideous one was raging outside the walls of the House too. It knew well its days were drawing nigh; that the very edifice it so boldly took over was about to be reclaimed by the Rightful Owner in the most astonishing way. It knew the Good Mother was gathering and strengthening Her children. It knew its minions were lying, telling it how wonderful it was and other things that it knew were complete and utter foolishness. It taught them well and with glee took pleasure in the knowledge that they would suffer as much as itself when this battle was over. It knew no creature who chose its path could withstand the Good Mother once Her permission to fully intervene was granted by the Owner of the House........It knew Her children would stand firm, and defeat was inevitable.....No matter. It was quite impressed with the mess it had made of things....... Katie held fast, but she felt terrible pangs of guilt; if only she had made it to the door before that thing got in......Finally, as the time approached, the Good Mother told her not to worry, to hold fast and keep with her prayers......"Just a little longer now, Katie. I myself will unbar the door and crush the creature. The Father's House will soon be restored" ~
