Good. Biden deserves it. But more importantly, may it signal a turning point for him. The beginning of his return to the True teachings of the church.
I emailed this good priest to thank him for standing up for the truth especially in the face of such depressing news from elsewhere in the Church. This is his email address: rmorey@charlestondiocese.org
Could be, my two and a half year laptop gave out on me several months short of an extended warranty. I guess that's the last time I pay for a 200$ extended warranty.
Dear Lord, Give me that old time religion when he would have not only been denied communion but blasted from the Pulpit, attacked by a six foot Parish Priest with a Blackthorn Stick and giving a good sound beating from irate locals in the Village Pub when he went there to recover. Plus maybe a few of the local sheep dogs were to bite him on the way to the hospital
We have lost the Hard Edge we need to face down Total Evil. A good Bishop needs a really, really hard edge. Even when facing down a really, really Bad Pope.
I see Bishop Barron let himself down very badly in Washington. I thought snails were the only creatures that could function without a back bone: https://cal-catholic.com/bishop-barron-avoids-hot-button-issues-in-congress-visit/
He was in the presence of many abortionists & had an opportunity to speak on the behalf of those who have no voice yet ignored the true marginalised victims of our evil society. A sham bishop. Imagine what Mother Teresa would have said!!
I know it sounds harsh calling him a sham but Bishop Barron simply does not recognise evil. It does exist - tell me the difference between an abortionist and a Nazi working in Auschwitz? We have Bishop Barron talking platitudes to the engineers of the culture of death, the architects of the holocaust of the unborn. And he remains silent! His excuse? Such issues are important, he said, but could ultimately distract from “really deep and abiding points of contact between what I call the spiritual condition and political tradition.” What absolute poppycock!
