Is this the future?

Well, after a long day, this was not exactly the most hopeful article to read. It’s not that I’m surprised but I guess I try to remain positive and hopeful, but I must confess this does not bode well. All I could think of when I finished reading it, is we need a lot of prayer in and for America right now. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!

Yes, we need a lot of prayer. We are standing in the gap,

I was listening last night to, 'The Secret of Mary', by St Grignion De Montford.

There were several points in it very relevant to our present day.

Towards the end the saint points out that Devotion to Mary is more important than ever towards the End of Things, when Jesus is to return. For just as Mary brought Jesus into the world in Bethlehem, so she will bring Him back towards the End of Time. So I assume the Marian Apparitions are part of that birthing process.

Part of this preparation will be the Illumination of Conscience so hopefully this will save huge numbers.

Something the saint said gave me great sadness, he said (or perhaps it was some other saint) of people who do not pray, 'There is no good in them'. This sounds very harsh and stark, but you know really it is the simple truth. If people do not pray then the Holy Spirit is not present... if the Holy Spirit is not present then there can be no good present.

    Very,very stark and scary.

No doubt many young people have turned away. I see my two youngest (in their 20s) being pulled. I’m fighting for them by my prayers. I am trusting that while they and many of their peers are not seeking God, He still seeks them! I’m going to renew my prayers and especially this Sunday - on the great Feast of Pentecost- ask the Holy Spirit to renew us all especially those away from God.

I found this reflection today to renew my hope and reminder that Jesus Christ loves each and every soul.

I really do believe with all my heart that God is preparing something really, really special for worried parents and the entire world. He promised, for instance, St Faustina this in Divine Mercy. The last ditch Mercy, so to speak.

God desires that souls be saved, not damned and I am afraid that pretty well the whole planet is heading to hell in a basket. So time for God to step in.

I don't want to appear very, very harsh and Judgemental but I could never have imagined that the world could turn into such a total bog of wickedness and filth, Church included.

    Never, never, never.

Satan Rules everywhere. Worst of all the vast majority of even the Faithful themselves appear totally oblivious. We make Sodom and Gomorrah appear innocent.

Many of our incoming migrants do (Mexico and Central America).

But I'm totally expecting "public schools" to brainwash migrant children into good little Marxists like their American-born counterparts.

Padraig, I share in your horror of what is happening in the world, sadly I think it will get far worse, before it gets better. I once read that before the warning comes, things will be so bad on the earth, that the faithful who know about the warning will be begging God to have it come! I already am! Without it we would have no hope for the world to change on its own, only God intervening Himself can save poor humanity at these extremely sinful times!

Well, maybe in a kind of very sad, terrible kind of way the hope is that things are turning so utterly bad so very, very quickly that we will not have so long to wait.

Talk about a steep downward slide. Its as if people are in competition with each other to see who can be the very worst.

Keep the Faith, brother. My 2 in their 20s also are being pulled, but God has a plan and is going to bring us all back to Him. Just keep trusting and moving forward and protecting them the best you can until God intervenes, through our Blessed Mother. If they still deny God after his intervention, then whoa, but if you've given them a strong foundation in the Faith, they'll come back!

I agree Padraig. It is something out of the worst horror movie. The old Time Machine flick from 1963. The Eloi walking passively to their death--conditioned to do so by the wicked morlocks.

I pray this is so. I have a whole family at stake. I feel like a very weak vessel indeed to carry all their souls in prayer. I am counting on the Blessed Mother.

Mine are in their 40's and no sign of any movement. I tried to give them a strong foundation but I think I failed.

It is concerning that there's been no major revival sweeping the USA.

The last I saw, which seemed spontaneous (not a big-name involved) was in 2006. And that, IIRC, was localized to "The Dixie States" and lasted about a year.

The Warning is the last hope for me. I’ve been waiting for years but it never comes.

I don’t fear the apocalypse. Either God will finally let me leave this world, or he the world will be worth living in after the apocalypse. I find no reason to want to live here. Yet if God will force me at least purity this dump.

I heard Mother Angelica say a wonderful thing there. She said that prayers for other people have particular power before God because they are unselfish. Prayers and tears for our children must have even the cold, dead, stones in the ground sit up and pay attention. .:):);)

I feel as though I could write a book on the subject of lost children. My son was indoctrinated in college, and grad school only made it worse. He pretty much attended the University of Social Justice o_O. Since the pandemic he is even more immersed in social justice causes, and he is involved with some very liberal politicians. I thought perhaps the pandemic might nudge him back to his faith, he had a terrible time of it in NY, but nothing. :( I fear that it will take something far, far worse to wake him. Mother Angelica was right, prayers for others are powerful, never stop praying for our children. :)
