Ok let's hear your explanation how the Vatican teaming up with the World Bank and these other population controllers and radical environmentalists to use the Vatican as a canvas for their propaganda can be squared with orthodox Catholicism?!?
Brian, by the way, ALL your predictions since last spring have NOT come true...funny you quoted the Old Gray Lady, NY Times, the oldest paper in the USA who has hated the Catholic Church ever since Catholics immigrated to America...funny you chose the NY Times to support your position. Maybe its me, I find that very strange for such a man as you Brian...go figure?
Once again Brian, let it play out, I know its hard for you . You keep crying fire, when I don't see any smoke...give it time and I will reply
Well.....I think Pope Francis is very wise. Here's my theory......he keeps company with many of those people because he MUST be the voice of Christ in the darkness and ........like the CORLEONE Godfather would say......KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE BUT YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER. LOL!!! Pope Francis is no dumb bunny and like Christ .....he will dine with the sinners and call them TOO to repentance in this upcoming year of mercy.
Well said Sparrows, im Glad you and the Family are ok!!!! Its like Peter going into Cornelius home, A Roman....The disciples cried aloud, God Forbid!
Hi Infant!! Yes.....we are ok. It's just such a shock. Our diocese is in shock to say the least but so many are not wavering one bit in faith. We feel God and it's very palpable. Thank you for all the prayers!! It's helping.....I know it!!
TWIMC This is not for those of you who trust and support our Holy Father but more for those who distrust and oppose his ministry. Thanks God many good souls on this forum stand by Pope Francis. As for our Precious Immaculate Conception, sadly from what I have seen and heard, most Catholics and nearly all non Catholics do not even know what the Immaculate Conception is. This ignorance is nothing new. At best they confuse it with the Virgin Birth. I love to witness that light bulb moment when I explain it. As for the environment, in the beginning creation itself was immaculate as the work of God took shape through His creative genius. And God looked on each element of His creation and they were good. Only God is good and God is perfect therefore creation was perfect. Then, after Satan and man had destroyed his original plan of perfection, God had to bring about another genesis, another universe, Immaculate in being, a Second Eve, in order to receive Immaculately his only begotten Son, a second Adam and restore the rightful relationship between God and Man. Mary was the new universe, the only human after Adam conceived without the stain of original son, the only environment that could support the Life of God. In this way God's husbandry would prepare human beings once again to live with him in heaven. I rely on the farming community in New Zealand for my income. Farmers know all about husbandry of their land and animals. They only thing they object to is when the environment is used to tax them. That aside they are not in dispute with the need for good husbandry. I am happy to rely on the leadership and love of Pope Francis for my salvation. Conchita ia reputed to have said "Salvation is in his hands." Mary was the soil, God was the seed and Jesus was the Fruit. And thus our ancient prayer was answered: "Send forth Your Spirit and they (Mary and Jesus) shall be created and begotten and in this Way, Thou, God, shalt renew the face of the earth. In this we find the significance, purpose and meaning of creation and the importance of care for the environment. If we respect our origin we will respect our destiny. The goodness of God's creation is represented in the care and concern Pope Francis shows for the environment, His Creation, in which God's very image finds reflection. This reflection has been sullied to the point that Gods image is no longer recognizable just as the poor face of Jesus became unrecognizable in his terrible passion. Pope Francis cannot and will not renew the face of the earth (it is not his competence) but he can try to minimize the damage done to it. The poor and the oppressed suffer most because of the way the resources of the earth have been abused. Whether or not he has got the exact scientific details of the origin of this abuse is secondary in importance. He has got the principle right. Creation supports life, Pope Francis supports life and I support Pope Francis. He does not support abortion or abortionists no more than Pius XII supported Hitler even though to some it seemed so. No more than any other Pope photographed in the company of liars and murderers supported their evil ways. Calumny does not get much worse than this than to suggest he is in league with abortionists. Neither is he in bed with Mamon. In scripture we are told to use money to make friends but he is not friends with abusers of the environment or as you call them, radical environmentalists. Pope Francis is not naive. There are only two realms of creation, heaven and hell. Can anyone really say Pope Francis is of hell and be Catholic. He is not abusing our Vatican Church but putting the buildings to good use. God alone knows how much renewal of the earth and humanity will be needed after the Tribulation and The Chastisement. But God will renew the face of the earth because He is the original and greatest environmentalist and His husbandry is surpassed by none. Pope Francis is his good and faithful servant.
If none of you have read Charlie's blog tonight, you should. Maybe it will cool you off. PERSPECTIVE IS EVERYTHING. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE MEDIA...iT WILL DRIVE YOU TO DRINK...and then some... https://charliej373.wordpress.com/2015/12/05/enthrone-christ/
Whatever about Global Warming , Woorld Bank et al. I get a bad feeling about using a Church , any Church for this kind of thing. I don't think it was or is what Churches were built for. I think it is alright to use lights to add to their beauty but not as canvases to promote issues. As to waht is actually going to happen ,we wil lsee what we will see.
I agree with that too. It's not the proper place for this. I would have like the opening of the year of Mercy to be more inline with actual MERCY .....as to what it's looking like.....Global Warming.....I don't see the connection. But I feel the Holy Father has a plan .....and perhaps that's to call as many as he can to Mercy in a way that's global ......reaching out to every nation to the poorest of the poor to the richest. ???
Did you know Joe that, in Latin America, the feast and devotion of the Immaculate Conception of Mary is being replaced in many places by something else very different that is fast spreading? Guess what and who was the responsible. God help the Pope and God help us.
I will guess Basto....is it the day of the dead? I really don't know. As you know we only have one enemy Basto but his name is Satan, not Francis.
It's time for my bed. I had a quick look. No more time to waste. You should not play games like this.
Too much to ask for Divine Mercy images of our Divine Lord and Saint Faustina of beautiful Catholic art showing the Immaculate Conception and our Blessed Mother? The treasures of Catholic art is simply breathtaking and beautiful. Using the splendid renaissance St Peter's basilica in this way is plain wrong. Instead we are getting this pantheistic dung!! What annoys me is that this is the beginning of the year and Jubilee of Divine Mercy and the Church had an opportunity to promote the Christ of Divine Mercy but have have allowed anti-life forces to take the lead and initiative and promote global warming propaganda on the canvas of St Peter's. This is supposedly a gift for Pope Francis. I guess he could have said No! But he has a history of accepting dodgy pieces of artwork as gifts! I just hope it is a case of bad taste in art on his part!!
Yes, well I suppose this kind of thing is not quite to my taste but that is really all it is about. I seem to recall reading of tremendous scandals involving art (sculptures and paintings) that were 'applied' to churches in the past. I'm sure that this is something that traditionalists will make a big meal of but their temptation is to idolize the 'fabric' of the Church. I can imagine that Pope Francis would not have a problem with this kind of thing whereas Benedict would almost certainly raise an eyebrow or two Either way, I will be quite interested to view all the images they propose to project on to St Peter's. An additional point to mention is that here in the UK, staid places such as Buckingham Palace and the Albert Hall have long since 'succumbed' to this form of display!
But they are not churches dedicated to God the Almighty. There is a difference a big difference. Don't hold your breath waiting for an image of Divine Mercy.
