May this short entry from an Irish re-vert place hope in our hearts for fallen away loved ones! A succinct, but powerful, lesson. https://charliej373.wordpress.com/2015/10/08/out-of-time/ Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
There's always been a bond between Ireland and the US and I'm happy to read here that in a small way these nuns are able to help the Church in Ireland. If not for the many great Irishmen and woman religious who helped spread the faith to the US and particularly NY we would not have the strong Church here http://www.limerickleader.ie/news/e...an-church-in-limerick-1-7132065#ixzz3vQI7t69k
I attend daily Mass most days in St Saviours. We have been feeling so sad at the news of the Dominicans leaving Limerick and we have been praying and some months ago we did a novena to Our Lady of Limeri k to intervene so this news is an answer to prayer. God never closes a door but another opens. The Franciscans left Limerick some years ago and some time later the Franciscans of the Renewal arrived. They are doing fantastic work in some of the more deprived areas of the city. The Jesuits left but then the Order of Christ The King purchased the church and monastery vacated by the Jesuits. That particular order preserve the Latin liturgy so we have tridentine Mass available everyday. Good news definitely
