Just back from the docs bloods done and x-rays booked
I’m wondering if it could be a bursitis...it can have the same effect. Horrible that you cannot get a MRI as so many issues never manifest in a x ray. Do you have a socialist healthcare system that will not cover a MRI?
Great to know!
Doc needs Xray first then the results of that will be forwarded to the appropriate health department who then will decide on an MRI..that's the way our health care works, they like doing things backward
Same here! I just wasn’t sure if your healthcare allowed it even after a X-ray...
Thank God all my blood tests came back fine except slight raised cholesterol 5.8 my xray is next week so hopefully that will shed some light. Have had a really really rough week with pain unbearable at times.. Feel sorry for my wife and children as I have been a cranky oul sod.
Sorry to hear the pain is so bad, you must be miserable. You've waited so long for that xray. Praying for you.
Praying in rosaries
It wasn’t until they followed up X-rays with an MRI that they discovered the source of my own back pain several years ago. But once I had that knowledge of what was causing it, it all made sense on how to proceed. I pray you know soon, Quis!
Hip pain is ghastly. I am totally empathetic. I hope the docs can get to the bottom of what's causing it.
There's (so far) only one time in my life when I dealt with chronic pain, thankfully only five months and it resolved ... (five months was enough!).
The Strangest thing about my hip pain is when I'm moving its grand infact I am very able mixing concrete building walls etc but within 15 mins of resting oh boy I'm an ambulance case
I will pray for you.
If I were in your position, I would try to find the money to have an MRI scan even if it meant going to a private clinic. Here's the website of a clinic showing the prices in their various locations throughout Ireland: https://www.affidea.ie/prices/
I don't know anything about them, so you would need to do your due diligence and check around before going to them or any other company. Also, the prices listed seem to be the cost of a single area scan. You may need to have more than one area scanned which could mean a considerable hike in the price. Your doctor should know whether you require a scan of more than one area.
Poor John, praying this afternoon to St Alphonsus Ligouri.
Horrible Quis. I was just like this when I ruptured a disc, I had to keep moving or the pain was atrocious. Please God may you be blessed with answers and relief soon.
I hope can get this solved. I will pray for you at Mass tomorrow.
I will include you in my prayers. So sorry.
I like your thinking in fact I bought a new mattress last week in the hope it helps.. Fingers crossed
Praying for you...I know how debilitating this is. Both my father and sister suffered from hip pain. In the end, they both needed hip replacements and they were like new people! I hope this option is available to you! It was a rather simple operation and the healing/ recuperation period was brief.
