They were (are?) in New Mexico and make a fascinating contrast with the spaniard nazarenos confraternities, but developed independently. The paper has some rare photos of hand-made crucifixes and saint's images. There's also a "grim reaper" figure but it's not santa muerte -the modern underground deity- ,the new mexico version comes from "Dona Sebastiana" which is Hispanic in origin. They had a conflict with the Church but changed their wrong things and reconciled last photo is from 1986 (there are Texco processions but I think it's not the same group) they're officially called "los hermanos de la fraternidad piadosa de nuestro padre jesús nazareno"
