I place a lot of blame with priests being educated either in universities or under the academic umbrella. I hear Bishop Barron and many others talking about the Bible in terms of a collection of different genres of writing. So they are interpreting Scripture through the lense of Modern Literature and it becomes an exercise in the subspeciality of critical textual analysis. Jesus Christ becomes 'Christology' - a modernist discipline of academic Theology bordering on heresy where Christ was not aware of His own Divinity. Every anthropological tool in the kit is used to put a man-centred gloss on Divinity and Divine Revelation.
Honestly, I feel as tho ppl are soooooo far removed from their conscience now, it's actually scary. Inside the Church, outside the Church. The devil is doing his best gaslighting in making ppl think there's no Hell or Purgatory. Everyone just goes to Heaven. Everyone can do what they like, there are no consequences to sin. Even Satan believes in God & doesn't obey Him. There's no sacrifice anymore for loving & obeying God. I want to focus on God's justice because so many are suffering for their Faith, if we live to be 80 years old that's 80 years we've been persecuted for our Faith. I pray for the conversion of sinners, but ppl have to truly love God enough to lay their life down for Him. That means there will be excruciating pain most of the time. It's all worth it, but yes of course it hurts. There's something going around on Instagram now which says 'The devil doesn't need to try so hard for those that are already his.' Ppl in the Church won't say anything because it's about comfort...
