Today is the feast day of San Sebastian, the patron of San Sebastian de Garabandal. Happy feast day everyone! Saint Sebastian (died c. AD 288) was an early Christian saint and martyr. According to his legend, he was born in Gaul, went to Rome, and joined (c. 283) the army of the emperor Carinus, later becoming a captain under Diocletian. When it was discovered that he was a Christian who had converted many soldiers, Sebastian was ordered to be killed by arrows. He is most commonly depicted in art and literature tied to a tree and shot with arrows, but this did not kill him. The widow of Castulus, Irene of Rome, went to retrieve his body to bury it, and discovered he was still alive. She brought him back to her house and nursed him back to his health. Sebastian later stood by a staircase where the emperor was to pass and harangued Diocletian for his cruelties against Christians. This freedom of speech, and from a person whom he supposed to have been dead, greatly astonished the emperor; but recovering from his surprise, he gave orders for Sebastian to be seized and beaten to death with cudgels, and his body thrown into the common sewer. A holy lady, named Lucina, admonished by the martyr in a vision, privately removed the body and buried it in the catacombs at the entrance of the cemetery of Calixtus.
WHY IS GARABANDAL SACRED GROUND ? We all know about the special area of Garabandal called "The Pines". The 9 Pine trees where the Blessed Mother appeared, and foretold of the great Miracle that will take place there. Mary said "It will be the greatest miracle that my Son, Jesus, will have ever performed for mankind. The Virgin Mary referred to “the Pines“ : "God loves this place very much. This place is sacred." GARABANDAL JOURNAL Nov-Dec. 2002 I have confirmed that Garabandal has a history of doing a nightly Rosary for over 500 years ! It’s no wonder why “God loves this place very much, this place is sacred !”
Could you tell me if Dr. Rosalie Turton is still living? Does she still send out the 101 foundation newsletter? Thank you!
The “Little Miracle “ June 22, 1962 - St. Michael tells Conchita that there will be a miracle of a “ Visible Host”, and she ,in the future, will announce it 15 days in advance. July 3, 1962 - Conchita announces the Visible host will appear in 15 days. July 18, 1962 -, the host appears on Conchita’s tongue out of thin air, and is caught on film, and camera, and countless eyewitnesses standing next to Conchita, swear there was nothing on her tongue before it appeared.
THE BLESSED MOTHER'S 2 MAIN MESSAGES OF GARABANDAL Our Lady's 1st Message of Garabandal :October 18, 1961 "We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. If we do not, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up, and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us." 2nd message:June 18, 1965 “As my message of October 18 has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over. Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them. Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist. You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts, He will pardon you. I, your mother, through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives. You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the passion of Jesus.”
You know, Glenn, the straightforwardness of the above two bookends reveal the essence of Our Lady's visitation, and are the most direct means of preparing for the Warning no matter when it occurs. I must increase my acts of penance. Mary, Queen of heaven and earth, pray for us!
“Never think that what you are doing is great” February 13, 1966: Jesus to Conchita in a locution while at school in Pamplona. “Love humility, simplicity. Never think that what you are doing is great.” Imagine you are Conchita for a minute. You’ve seen and talked to the Blessed Mother for 4 years! Talked to Jesus in Locutions, and are the main Visionary messenger for the Garabandal prophecies, and you are told by Jesus: “Never think that what you are doing is great”. This should serve as a reminder that no matter who we are, or think we are, we must continually strive to do more good, to do so without thought of gain or personal honor, in short, to be humble.
I'm looking forward to listening to your interview, though at the time your live, I am scheduled to be live with Jesus before the Blessed Sacrament. May Our Lady be with you and help you clarify any misconceptions. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
“The end of THE times” Conchita said after the death of Pope John XXIII , there would be 4 more popes ,”until the end of THE times” ,(NOT the end of all time, NOT the end of the Popes either) , when a new era begins. Now it is clear as to which 4 Conchita was talking about. The death of Pope Benedict XVI signifies with absolute clarity now, how many popes have passed after John XXIII ( Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI ). It is this era that we will also experience in “the end of THE times”, the WARNING & the MIRACLE . -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4 Popes, not 3. “The seer employs this disconcerting expression for the first time on the 3rd of June 1963 : “it was the Virgin who said to me: “ After this Pope (St. John XXIII) ,only three remain, and then (will come ) the end of the times”. But the Virgin immediately explains that “she wasn’t counting one of them”. Conchita explains that one doesn’t count because “he would govern the Church for a very short time”. Pope John Paul I with his 33 day pontificate, fulfills this exception prediction. From : “Garabandal: message of Hope”. Fr. Jose Luis Saavedra pg. 201
“If we do not change” “NEEDLES” magazine, Oct. -Dec. 1979, pg. 3-4 By Fr. Joseph Pelletier The great suffering of the world today is suffering that comes from sin. the world will continue to suffer until it turns away from sin and toward God. The elimination of sin is of course what God wants and to turn men from their evil ways is precisely why he frequently warns of impending chastisement. Garabandal is a call to repentance by a merciful and forgiving God. refusal to listen to that call and accept God's forgiveness will force God's justice into action through the chastisement. but in the chastisement as in all of God's punishments Justice and love embrace. the chastisement will be used only with extreme reluctance and when the cup of iniquity is flowing over on all sides If eventually God is forced to send the chastisement it will be transfused with love and used to convert, as well as to satisfy the demands of Justice. Conchita elaborates in her diary the terrifying nature of the chastisement.” The chastisement is conditional and depends on whether or not mankind heeds the messages of the Blessed Virgin and the miracle I know what it will consist of because the Blessed Virgin told me about it but I am not permitted to say what it is. Moreover I have seen the chastisement. I can assure you that if it comes it is worse than being enveloped in fire, worse than having the fire above and beneath you. I do not know how much time will elapse between the miracle and the chastisement. Conchita in her diary also describes it as very very great in keeping with what we deserve but she also advises us that if the world changes it can be averted .
Since the Blessed Mother's message on 18 Oct 61 was not complied with...continue to pray, make penance and lead and live good lives...
JANUARY 27, 1962: CONCHITA'S MUCH AWAITED ECSTASIES START AGAIN Having known for some weeks already that Conchita would see the Blessed Virgin again, many witnesses came on this January 27 to attend the resumption of her ecstasies. A NEW BISHOP APPOINTED TO THE SEE OF SANTANDER On this very day, Msgr. Eugenio Beitia Aldazabal was named the new Bishop of Santander. He was the only titular Bishop during the period of the public "events" of Garabandal, and was to fulfill that office until July 2, 1965. Excerpted from 'Garabandal' Book, by J. Serre, page 123
