Julia, I have been here 3 1/2 years. You can look it up, if you want to see for yourself. Try the "search" box! That is a long time, to wait to "troll" one thread! When I joined in 2016, another member send me a PM to warn me about going on the Charlie Johnson threads, warned me about some (specific) other posters. I have not come to MoG as much since then, but have posted on many threads...

    Carol55, thank you!
What a shame it is, to come to this. Yes, I am angry today, the way a few posters harass those with different opinions/ideas. Just in a few days, I have been told I should go to court for "libel," that I "lied" about a priest, was "naysayer," "slandered", and deserved to drown outside the Ark!

    Booklady,
Kevin Symonds mentioned MoG on his website. When I saw that, I looked him up here. He was not well treated. A church friend of mine, made a documentary for EWTN on Fatima for the 100th anniversary, she corresponded with him.

I apologize if I have characterized anyone unfairly on this thread.

  2. I oppose Father Michel's prophecy about unavoidable nuclear war because I follow the Medjugorje messages and Our Lady has mentioned that satan wants war. I do not think Our Lady or God the Father would tell someone that nuclear war is unavoidable.
These are partial messages from the Virgin Mary of Medjugorje about war.
The world is at war because hearts are full of hatred and jealousy. In the eyes, little children, peacelessness is seen because you have not permitted Jesus to be born in your lives. November 25, 2019

I am praying with you for peace which is the most precious gift, even though Satan wants war and hatred. June 25, 2019

Little children, may God be your tomorrow and not war and lack of peace; June 25, 2015

Satan wants to suffocate man and his soul by his contagious wind of hatred and unrest. In many hearts there is no joy because there is no God or prayer. Hatred and war are growing from day to day. January 25, 2015

Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer, especially today when Satan wants war and hatred. September 25, 2001

I thank all those who have posted their opinion. Also I thank Padraig for having this place to discuss serious catholic happenings. Freedom to argue is wonderful and only God will prove Fr one way or the other. In the meantime I would like to thank this beautiful priest for being an exorcist and his teaching me about our faith.

Oh dear, I clicked on this thread wondering whether the Bishop had made a new statement and find that the argument is ongoing.

Christy: It's best to point out the problems with unapproved messages and let it go. The reasons you gave will always be there for any passing viewer to read.

This is a discussion forum for believing Catholics. Some people can take the heated arguments and some can't. I remember when Kevin Symonds was a member but I had forgotten that he was banned. I don't recall him being badly treated and back then I was inclined to agree with him about Fatima. It's very nice that he's a theologian but that doesn't make a person infallible or impeccable.

It's fairly hard for a Catholic to be banned from this forum, otherwise some of us wouldn't have lasted five minutes.

The suggestion to have a "for" and "against" thread about Fr. Miguel or anyone claiming to be receiving messages from Heaven for the world would defeat the reason for having a discussion forum and turn it into a propaganda site for any and every new "prophet". If the Countdown to the Kingdom website is promoting Fr. Miguel and his prophecies, then Fr. Miguel already has an online propaganda outlet because, as far as I know, that website isn't a discussion forum.

I have noticed that sometimes people join the forum to promote books or websites. It's also possible that people who write books, start new websites or are setting up as prophets encourage their friends and followers to spread the word wherever they can and their friends/followers could also be forum members. You're not the only person posting after a very long absence although you may be the only one not promoting Fr. Miguel and the Countdown to the Kingdom website.

Welcome back. You have made some good, valid points. Don't be offended if anyone has accused you of being a heretic, not praying enough, not Catholic enough, or blind to some seer's perfection. That's often a sign that your accusers can't refute your argument. (Drowning outside the Ark is a doozie :D! I think that's a first so you must have made some very strong points. I haven't read all the posts since I bowed out.)

These are trying times but Pentecost is not far away. We Catholics always have something to look forward to.

Nuclear was is avoidable if the world does a Nineveh! A complete volte-face in sack cloth and ashes as prescribed by Sister Sasagawa last October - and the Akita messages speak of fire falling from the sky (Church approved).

But is the world improving? A resounding No!

Why does our Lady of Medjugore come as Queen of Peace? Precisely because we are headed for war. The messages you post from Medjugorje actually explain why we are going to war because the hearts of men are far from God. Millions are aborted every year torn from their mothers wombs. If we can do that then there is no doubt in my mind we can press a wee red button to kill millions in a nuclear attack. That is where we are headed unless enough people repent and become victim souls. Mother Teresa said 'the fruit of abortion is nuclear war'!

Padraig has posted on threads near the beginning of this forums birth some dreams he constantly had of nuclear war in East Europe and especially on the plains of Hungary. I believe these to be true because the descriptions he gave were absolutely incredible, I mean of the geographic location - describing places accurately (and where he has never been physically).

We are in a great confrontation between good and evil. The enemy wants war and he has many minions on his side.

It is our responsibity to pray the Rosary every day and make sacrifices so that the world will repent.

Effective prayer, comes from the heart, a well-prepared and honest heart. God always knows the difference. It is offensive to God, to offer prayers from anything other than faith, or trust, or in true interest of others. (This includes the public, "I'll pray for you," to imply others are in need/"virtue signal." Or, worse, "bless your heart.") God wants our sincerity in prayer.

How can you but pray from the heart saying the Rosary? It is the prayer of mind and heart. It is the most sublime and beautiful of all devotions. One's heart is filled to overflowing saying the Hail Mary the Christocentric prayer of the ages. The Rosary also promotes contemplative prayer because your mind is filled with the images of salvation history worked out through the joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries. It really is a prayer sent down from heaven for us to grow in love and holiness.

Rosaries can be rote, hurried, distracted, or even preening (I went to Catholic school, saw fake-holy rosaries led by students being sarcastic). They can be said from the lips, not the heart. I have seen lip-service rosaries at wakes, led by a priest or deacon checking their watches... It is not the prayer but the heart that counts.

There are no excuses for poor Rosaries said. Lack of proper formation in the faith in my opinion.

But the Rosary is an essential prayer for us Catholics.

Can you name me a modern saint who did not say the Rosary?

  11. I am glad I’m reading slowly through things as a new member or I’d never be aware of this forum’s beginnings. Very interesting. (Mind you, I have BEEN to this forum as a non- member off and on over all these years, so I always knew it was here. So, I know there are plenty more like me out there right now.):)

Devotion to the rosary is a sign of love for our Lady and her maternal intercession.

Modernists reject the Rosary as they call it formulaic. In reality they are scornful of our Lady and in rejecting her prayer they reject the Mother of God.

Welcome Advocata Nostra, beautiful name. Although I joined in 2011, I did not post much until 2016. That was such a tumultuous year, there was turmoil everywhere here in the U.S. and I took refuge here, at Mother's place.

I too have not read about Padraig's apparition of Our Lady, does anyone have these bookmarked?

Christy, no offense taken. I shared the two messages given a Protestant because the older one especially lines up with the dire Father Michel heard.

I check the daily Protestant prophetic, they lovingly point to Catholicism. Amazing, I’ve mentioned, well I think I have in the past on MOG that there are Protestant prophets for the most holy Eucharist! I can post an
example if anyone likes. I know the below, I’ve shared this before on the forum...

Protestant prophet Kim Clement (who is now deceased) was given a message about Our Lady. How telling, God speaks of a “woman” like Queen Esther. Probably for the anti-Marianism so God doesn’t say Our Lord’s mother’s name directly. Notice the sentence the says Protestants will change about her and that prophecy fits Mary. Here are the last two paragraphs of the long message and no coincidence, the message was given on March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation in 20011.

    March 25, 2011
    To: Kim Clement

I see a president that shall come, and this is not to speak bad about this one. There is a president who will come. And God says, 'he will have absolutely no fear, absolutely no fear. He will be decisive, he will make decisions. And then in the middle of the restoration of America - rapidly because of a source of energy that shall come quickly, and because of medical breakthroughs, and because of agreements between nations, specifically China,' God said, 'they shall say, 'we never dreamed this would happen. They said that this in Japan would never happen.'' God says, 'Listen to Me. As the beginning of the restoration, as it begins, there shall be a woman that shall rise up - a woman that shall be strong in faith; virtuous. Beautiful in eyes, and her eyes shall be so beautiful. Her eyes shall be round and big. I have crowned her,' says the Lord, 'as I crowned Esther. And the people shall receive her. She shall have the oil of gladness for the pain and the mourning that has taken place, and she shall pour out the oil. (Is there some oil here, please?) She shall pour out the oil on this nation,' and God says, 'healing shall begin and then it shall flow rapidly. Schools will be free from potential damage and danger, shootings and murder, drug addiction. Cartels shall be afraid of a woman - a woman anointed by God; a woman set aside.'

And God says, 'they will say 'we hated her, but now we love her.' For she shall take the oil of healing and she shall pour it upon the scars of those left and those right and of the new party that has come forth and emerged where they shall say, 'Christ will reign and we shall not implement socialism at all.' Where they have said, 'we will make history without God.' No, you will not. No, you will not,' says the Lord. 'For I chose this nation before it was founded, before anybody came here, I chose this entire nation - all fifty states, every one of them, to send My gospel to the entire earth. Do you think I have changed My mind? Therefore, the healing that is necessary for this nation shall come at a time, in the middle of the presidency. There shall be a woman that shall come and God said there shall be oil that shall be poured upon the nation and they shall suddenly feel the healing and they shall say, 'it is well with my soul, it is well with our soul.' For the soul of America has been corrupted; the soul of this nation has been corrupted with bitterness and anger.' And God said, 'She shall say. 'no more bitterness, no more anger, no more division,' and she'll pour the oil that shall come from the Spirit of the Lord Himself.' If you as a nation believe, if you as a nation want this, lift your voice and shout one more time and say yes! Yes to Esther! Yes to Esther! Yes to Esther!
