No apology necessary. He was/is first and foremost Father Isaac Jogues. When i first was told about him as a young child I was horrified to think what he went through. And then after being rescued he returned because of his love for those people and his desire for their salvation! Wow. I love the feast of the North American martyrs. We have sacred ground in our country and in Canada blessed by the blood of martyrs.
I met my Brazilian wife online and decided it was better to live in the warmth of the Brazilian sun than the cold of Ireland.

Prayers for all in California and for those on the coast in the path of the twin storms. We are certainly living in interesting times. I feel sad when people leave the forum especially when they have been here a few years. Life is so very passing.

Southern New England...100% Irish...been many times but not in the recent past. It pains me to read about the major changes which have taken place. I always dreamed of retiring in Ireland...current reality is far from it. Sick, lonely, scared, are words that describe daily life, far from anything I ever could have imagined! I enjoy reading each day but rarely post...many thanks to Padraig and so many of strong faith on the Forum. It is strong faith that gets me from one day to the next in our current situation. I pray everyone stays healthy & safe... Maybe all of us from the North East of the US could Zoom or meet someday soon!
