the-most-sacred-heart-of-jesus-ai-generated-art-v0-alukgx37om8b1(1).jpg There was zero chance the I would forget that today was the Feast of the Sacred Heart. All the Churches I have been attending the last few days have had a Novena to the Sacred Heart , which they take very seriously indeed with special prayers , readings and talks. Devotion to the Secret Heart is a big, big deal in Ireland with stained glass, statues , paintings prayers, literature everywhere. I would guess Devotion to the Sacred Heart is an even bigger deal than to say, St Patrick.

We had a beautiful picture of the Sacred Heart at home which always drew my eyes , it was the centre of things. So much time spent in front of it praying. My mother had a intense devotion to the Sacred Heart.

My first thought this morning was an old prayer which I don't recall praying since childhood.

Heart of Jesus , I adore you.

Heart of Mary, I implore you.

Heart of Joseph, pure and just , in these three years I place my trust.

I remember praying that prayer. I haven't thought of it in years. It is also First Friday a beautiful synchronicity.

My wife and I are headed up to our grandkids Catholic grammar school to celebrate the First Friday Mass on this most wonderful Feast day. We will keep your intentions in our prayers. Thanking God that he allows us this opportunity to be with our daughter and the kids at Mass. peace
