To see the bigger picture takes a flashback to 1917 when the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in the Portuguese village called Fatima – a poor, but pious rural setting not quite unlike Medjugorje in 1981. Jesus will reign in all hearts The historical mission of the Virgin Mary is bringing Jesus into the world. From Jesus she receives all things and all her strength, and with this strength and the love that they share, she leads everyone who permits her to Jesus. To everything she does Jesus is the measure as well as the means. Therefore the Virgin Mary’s heart cannot be said to have triumphed until every human heart is resting in the love and peace of Jesus. This is is why her expressed goal of the apparitions in Medjugorje is no less than the conversion of the world. And why she has specifically linked her coming triumph to the presence of Jesus in all human hearts: Mirjana during her apparition on March 18th 2007 when the Virgin Mary invited everyone to help her to triumph, and expressed her wish that thereby "you may see the real Truth, the real Way and the real Life. I desire that you may see my Son." “In this special time of prayer, permit me to transform your hearts that you may help me to have my Son resurrect in all hearts, and that my heart may triumph.” (April 2nd 2007) Love is the key to the triumph. Love of God and neighbor will bring about the triumph, and so this holy kind of love is also what the Virgin Mary requires from anyone who wants to help her realize it and, ultimately, wants to live and experience it: “Dear children! I come to you as a Mother with gifts. I come with love and mercy. Dear children, mine is a big heart. In it, I desire all of your hearts, purified by fasting and prayer. I desire that, through love, our hearts may triumph together. I desire that through that triumph you may see the real Truth, the real Way and the real Life. I desire that you may see my Son. Look in the eyes of your brother and see Jesus, my Son. If you see joy, rejoice with him. Children, do not hesitate.” (May 2nd 2007) An era of peace is on its way The triumph of Mary’s Immaculate Heart will bring on an era of peace. It will not come about through politicians, but from mankind having come to peace with God. The uniquely peaceful atmosphere of Medjugorje is an open window into the era to come. This peace, experienced by millions of pilgrims, is meant to be “picked up”, internalized and “exported” back home through the personal conversion, witnessing and prayer of those who come to Medjugorje: “Dear children! Today I am happy to see you in such great numbers, that you have responded and have come to live my messages. I invite you, little children, to be my joyful carriers of peace in this troubled world. I desire to give you peace, and that you carry it in your hearts and give it to others until God’s peace begins to rule the world. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (December 25th 2002) Mirjana: Don’t be afraid to have children While her knowledge of some of the secrets gives Mirjana a heavy Cross to carry, she also carries the joy of knowing details about the Triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart Because the visionaries know about the secrets and the future, many people were excited to see if they would marry and have children. There was some relief when Ivanka, the first to see the Virgin Mary, became the first to have a child, too. Today all the visionaries have children, a total of 17. And Mirjana has said that people are mistaken if they choose not to have children. And when we fall short, we can run without hesitation to the merciful embrace of our Abba. We can face the tidal wave of evil that is sweeping down upon us and choose not to be afraid! I don't even follow Medjugorje at all, but when Mary says peace will come through mankind (i.e. personal conversion), then be picked up an exported, she is still describing something both temporal and spiritual as the desired result. Regarding politicians, she is just saying do not place your supernatural faith and hope in politics or worldly governments to bring this about. You appear to be taking liberties with her words with your all caps insertion above, in support of your interpretations and opinions. It is almost ridiculous. She first expresses the desire for all to put it into temporal action: "Dear children! Today I come to you with a motherly desire for you to give me your hearts. My children, do this with complete trust and without fear. In your hearts, I will put my Son and His mercy. Then, my children, you will look at the world around you with different eyes. You will see your neighbor. You will feel his pain and suffering. You will not turn your head away from those who suffer, because my Son turns His head away from those who do so. Children, do not hesitate." Then she confirms the temporal reality by direct prophecy: “Dear children! How do we interpret our Divine Saviour's prayer? 'Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven' This prayer must be fulfilled because our Lord is the Divine Word. This seems to me to suggest conformity to the Divine Will this side of eternity for He did not pray 'thy will be done in the new earth that will be after end of time.

In your eyes they prove your point. It can't be exclusively spiritual, and the actual words say as much. The necessary conversion is definitely spiritual, but the desired effect is that it will also have a temporal manifestation in time and space in our temporal reality here: God's peace ruling the world (world=temporal). The suffering of others also has temporal reality, and therefore its rectification requires the temporal manifestation of this peace (as she requested that each of us cooperate with in the first message, applied toward the suffering of others).
OK, but what is so new here? The request to love your neighbor is almost 2000 years old and the promise of God's peace and it's fruits as a result - as well. Why should it be a new era coming, if these requests and promises lay at the very foundation of Christianity? THEN it was a new era, because the foundation of Christianity was unheard of between the people of those times - and ever since it has been a new world, a new era of peace and love, a new millennium. God's peace is ruling the world since the first century. ( just as a side note - it is exactly because the messages from Medjugoorje REPEAT the very Gospels and Our Lord's requests and words and because it does not contradict the Catholic Catechism that Medjugorje is not condemned and I think will be recognized. But I do not see anything revelationally new here at all)
