does USA have a special, or a benevolent, place in Catholic prophecy or global scene?

I grew up being told in school (I went to 2 different ,primary and then high school) and university (4 different ones, long journey)that USA was an evil country, artificially created and consistently ignominious in its history and deeds.
but now im older and I saw some private revelations, or prophetic speculations, painting this country in a good light, or at least in an important or central light in the world scene, catholicism in the world, the end-times etc.
has the universal Church made any pronouncements about this? or mystics and seers in th emodern age?
im confused since all my life I was told the stuff I described.

The USA that I grew up in during the 1950s was a much more wholesome nation than now. Prayer was allowed in public schools, the Bible could be read in schools, Sunday blue laws generally had stores closed on Sundays (apart from pharmacies), the divorce rate was low (no-fault divorce was yet to be); etc. At the age of 7 I was walking a mile to school without my parents giving it a second thought. It was a different world. The culture began to change in the '60s and it's been accelerating downward ever since. The same can be said of the Catholic Church. The influence of the devil in the culture greatly expanded. In the '60s, a possessed person was generally delivered after 2-3 sessions with an exorcist. Today, I believe the average number of required sessions is 13-15.

If you could find a location on planet earth that looks like America in the late 1950s' I'd tell my beloved wife we're moving!

Totally agree. I have experienced this, as well. Masses at my parish were jammed, standing room only at the Mass I attended on Sundays.

Remember around 1967 when someone in the Vatican stated women wearing hats was in no sense a mandate; the hat industry that looked forward to providing new hats for women on Easter, sank!:rolleyes: It was like overnight!

Do you remember pinning a kleenex on your head so you could visit the Blessed Sacrament? We used to do that in the summer when playing by the Church. We wanted to go in for quick visits but would never go without something on our heads. We were probably 9 or 10.

Yes!!! I have done that, too.:)
    Great memory. :)
One of the lay teachers at the Catholic School did that, too, if I remember correctly. :)

Oh my goodness, yes! I remember doing that too! The nuns/teachers would march us over to confession in the middle of a school day, without any notice, so those of us who had no hats would have to bobby pin a Kleenex on top of our head before entering the church. And I would be trying to come up with some sins to tell.

Whether you liked or disliked Trump, if this happens next week, it is another unprecedented moment in American history. Never before has a former POTUS been arrested. I’ve read they may even put him in cuffs. Now, I ascribe to no one, not even a President is above the law, but this has earmarks of political machinations. I fear it will only further divide the country ….. tbh…. I see this as potentially being the flash point for the eventual uncoupling of the Republic. It will not be immediate… but it will be a watershed moment. Even those that are not big supporters of his, will see this as an overstep. I’m sad and concerned.

I’ve read on forum a few times that America is not found in prophecy. I’ve come to believe it may not because America physically is not here, but that the country… like USSR, will become separate entities loosely connected. I pray I’m wrong but I’ve never in my 60+ years seen or felt the division and distrust more than I do now. If this arrest happens next week it only exacerbates it

He resigned. He was not even brought up on impeachment. 3 Presidents were impeached by House, but not convicted in Senate. These were Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump. Interestingly, Clinton settled sexual harassment lawsuit ( which is what I e read they are bring up against Trump).
