You were lead to post that, Padraig. It speaks directly to a particular vexation this morning.
St Margaret Mary had many visions, besides the main one. She was a real mystic and saw all kinds of things. There was one beautiful one , out in the Convent Garden where she saw a group of Angels of the Highest Rank, Seraphim ( angels of love) swinging about above her praising the Sacred Heart.
When I look at my own picture of the Sacred Heart I love to recall the promises of the Sacred Heart and apply them to my won life, asking the question; have they been fulfilled? They have been.
It's so sad to enter a Catholic home with no Sacred Heart, it makes them so empty.
I still need to read about St. Margaret Mary.
A cousin of my husband's has at least three images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in their home. She and her husband are cradle Catholics, and the overall sense is genuine warmth and well-being. I have Sacred Heart images in my home office.
I will love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death
And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath
And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow:
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus 'tis now.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
fountain of eternal life,
Your Heart is a glowing furnace of Love.
You are my refuge and my sanctuary.
O my adorable and loving Saviour,
consume my heart with the burning fire
with which Yours is inflamed.
Pour down on my soul those graces which flow from Your love.
Let my heart be united with Yours.
Let my will be conformed to Yours in all things.
May Your Will be the rule of all my desires and actions. Amen.
~St. Gertrude the Great
REMEMBER, O most sweet Jesus, that no one who has had recourse to Thy Sacred Heart, implored its help, or sought its mercy was ever abandoned. Encouraged with confidence, O tenderest of hearts, we present ourselves before Thee.
"O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and life giving fountain of eternal life, infinite treasure of the Divinity, and glowing furnace of love, You are my sanctuary. O adorable and glorious Savior, consume my heart with that burning fire that ever inflames Your Heart.
Pour down into my soul those graces which flow from Your love. Let my heart be one with, and in all things conformed to, Yours. May Your will be the rule of both my desires and my actions. Amen." ~ St. Alphonsus Liguori
by His loving Heart; steadfast
Sacred Heart of Jesus, today I wish to live in You, in
Your grace, in which I desire at all costs to persevere.
Keep me from sin and strengthen my will by helping
me to keep a watch over my senses, my imagination,
and my heart. Help me to correct my faults, which
are the source of sin.
I beg You to do this, O Jesus, through Mary, Your
Immaculate Mother. Amen.
O Jesus, I wish to fall asleep in Thy Heart, which is the source of supreme and true peace, the source from which will spring and flow for my soul the endless tranquillity that will forever set me free from the trials and tribulations of this life.
And since I must so soon leave this world, I will place in Thee my desires, my thoughts and affections, by entering into Thy tender and loving Heart. I will rest there as in a most sweet sleep.
When I draw my last breath, I will put my heart into Thy open Side and confide it to Thy Heart.

I am the vine and you are the branches.
The one who remains in Me, and I in him,
will bear much fruit. For apart from Me,
you can do nothing.
~St. John 15:5
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and life-giving fountain of eternal life, infinite treasure of the Divinity, and glowing furnace of love,
You are my refuge and my sanctuary. O adorable and glorious Savior, consume my heart with the burning fire that ever inflames
Your Heart. Pour down on my soul the graces that flow from Your love. Let my heart be so united with Yours that our wills may be
one, and mine may in all things be conformed to Yours. May Your Will be the rule both of my desires and my actions.
~St. Alphonsus Liguori
This is quite lovely. Good thread.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I pray for the fulfillment of this promise that
You made to St. Margaret Mary: "Tepid souls shall become fervent."
Forgive me for my carelessness. Inflame my heart with Your Divine love.
Christ CHILD Sacred Heart. I'd not seen until today (three so far, will post one), via http://holycardheaven.blogspot.com/
THE HEART OF JESUS IS A SURE REFUGE
"The Wound of the Heart of Jesus is for everyone a sure refuge in all troubles. In every sorrow and affliction have recourse to this wounded Heart. Should pleasures entice you or sadness overwhelm you, be not afraid, for there is a place of safety for you in the opened Heart of Jesus. Enter in, and there take refuge. The tempter cannot penetrate there. Evil cannot approach this sacred dwelling. In this inviolable sanctuary you can rest in peace." ~Lanspergius (Ancient Devotions to the Sacred Heart)
Beautiful. I needed this right now this very minute.
I was surprised (Catholic since mid-2019) to see a Sacred Heart of Christ Child on March 31st (1st image).
Today I did a Google search hoping to find others. Here's five more (found 10):
Sacred Heart of Jesus:
Help me to be poor in spirit,
that I may seek heavenly riches;
to be meek, that I may curb my anger;
to seek refuge for my sorrows in Your Sacred Heart;
to hunger and thirst for holiness."
