There are a lot of Bible verses which are related to this. Sam Shamoun has pointed this out often enough. Such as when St. Stephen was being stoned, he saw the heavens opened up and Jesus standing at the right hand of the Father. Or when Jesus was baptized, the heavens opened up and the Holy Spirit came down bodily in the form of a dove. Then there is Isaiah 64:1 "Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you!". Which indicates a kind of heavenly opening.
I will never forget what someone wrote on the forum many years ago. To put it simply they said that a Jewish man was dying and he suddenly came to and said that Jesus just came to him and asked him if he wanted to be baptized.
